What does Springtrap get from ripping off his mask?
Does it free his connection from earth? Does it make the Purple Guy feel less pain? Or does he just do it to look intimidating?

I would imagine it's because he's not too happy with the irony of haunting an animatronic after being haunted by other animatronics for so long.

Springtrap's head is like a bad halloween mask. Uncomfortable, hard to see out of, and has that smell to it. Purple Guy's just tired of living inside a Halloween Costume.

Well come on it should be obvious. He's a killer animatronic it's not like he's gonna give you a big hug or anything unless it's hugging you till your guts come through your mouth.

It's not a death screen. It appears rarely when you boot up the game.
