Are the Toys possessed?
This is a question that some people have been asking since the 2nd game came out, however, this question has been pushed out into the shadows with each new game. But this is an important question, which could help with the lore. Are the Toy Animatronics possessed by their own dead children? Are they controlled by the Puppet? Are they controlled by the Withered Animatronics? Or is there just a glitch in their system?

I'm not sure... this has REALLY bothered me, too.

This needs to be answered, we need to know just how many victims Afton had

Good quetion. And I have something for you. Look carefully at Mangle's jumpscare. She/he/it has a light in empty eyehole. However, others don't seem to have this detail. Also, don't forget, that Puppet posseses great psychic power and parts from Withereds were used for Toys. And someone hacked criminal database. So, maybe the answer is different for each Toy?

They could be possessed as we see five more children murdered in the Save Them minigame AT the FNaF 2 establishment no less. Five more children for five more robots, Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Mangle, and BB (or possibly JJ, but then again who is JJ?). This also makes sense as Toy Chica gets those signature white/silver eyes when she leaves the show stage which in FNaF signify possession or something along those lines. It also makes sense as Balloon Boy moves around the FNaF 2 pizzeria seemingly without an endoskeleton, which makes sense if he is a paranormal entity.

If what Scott said about game theory's second episode is true, then there was undoubtedly more than one missing children incident.I've always thought it was likely it happened a second time and the 5 new children possessed the toys.If you haven't seen the episode, check it out.His FNaF theories aren't always great, but he got pretty much everything right in that one apart from Purple guy being phone guy.

I've watched all his videos on the subject, that one being my favorite. Only thing is, Scott said he got it about 90% right, and I doubt the whole 10% is just for Phone Guy being the killer. It makes you think, what else was false in the theory?

The Toys have a lot of things going on with them. I for one do believe that new children haunt them, but at the same time, they could also have malfunctions in the animatronic programming from Afton tampering with them.

The 5 children in the FNaF 2 pizzeria is a point I used on Reddit, but the person I was talking to still didn't believe me. Right now, I'm ruling out that they're "just glitched" which is something I never believed in, but just put it in the post to see if anyone thought that was a possibility. Glitches don't cause animatronics to stare into cameras and remove parts of their bodies. Toy Chica remove her beak and eyes, Mangle shouldn't even be functional in the condition he/she is in, Toy Freddy turns his eyes completely black, and Toy Bonnie shrinks his eyes. Now, the Toy Chica thing could be possible without paranormal activity, but it just wouldn't make sense for an animatronic to purposely remove parts of its own body. As for Mangle, Toy Freddy, and Toy Bonnie however, Mangle should be unable to move, yet he/she climbs the walls of the building, and Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie both make physical changes to their eyes, changes which should be impossible, unless there's a paranormal force behind it.

Mangle, BB & Marionette are the ones possessed, the others are just like the counterparts that constantly reappear in the series.

If Scott would come out with another book that just explained his thought process on all of this and what he initially intended everything to be, he'd make yet another mint. But we all know the chances of him doing that are pretty much nonresistant. 8T

The Toy Band is already dead, only the misfit trio continues on (even though they are presumed dead).

Probably.

The toys are not possessed, they are just malfunctioning and their facial recognition detects you as a criminal, that also explains mangles 1011 radio broadcast

Considering stuff Scott has said, that's very doubtful.
