Did fnaf become one of the most popular horror games?
Fnaf is a popular horror game. But how popular? A year after the first game came out a movie for it was announced. Then In 2016 it became part of an attraction in vegas. No other horror game I heard of didn't get its own haunted house in vegas or a movie announced a year after its game came out. What do you think?

Fnaf is just something incredible. It came just because Scott saw a potential in one of his mistakes and turned it into a sensation. After the success of the first game, he realised he can't just end his biggest creation like that. He created five more (two of which are spin-offs)and even a book (with two more coming plus a movie) just because he fell in love with his creation. He can generate a ton of hype just with single 'offline' image. While the game had its highest populatity around the third game, he managed to build a fanbase that is still gonna get hyped af for anything fnaf related. Isn't that impressive? This is why indie games are my favourite.

Unmmm...it's popular in Bulgaria. Around the time the third came out, most of my classmates were playing it on their phones. There might not be as much loyal fans and as much people talking about it as then, but there are still a lot of people familiar with it all over the world.

I do´nt say FNaF isn´t popular, i say it isn´t one of the most popular horror games.
How many people know about Slenderman and how many about FNaF?

And if you look at europe, FNaF is not well known

IKR, I remember getting fish and chips one day and coming home to my sister showing me Markiplier playing FNaF 1. I didn't think much of FNaF at first but little did I know it would become one of my all-time favourite franchises. I miss 2014/15. :steamsad:
now its just a sci fi horror game

i miss fnaf 1 ----------- it had the best atmosphere

Because FNaF was always scary, even pulling up the camera can get you jumpscared by seeing something unexpected, also the story is full... obviously most of that stuff was after people started decompiling games to see how they work and stuff, but yea, back in FNaF 2 times it was pretty interesting to know what will happen soon and how will you have to defend against animatronics, what easter eggs to find and what new animatronics we discover

The fact FNaF was a mere last-attempt at a game by Scott yet it blew up and became a fully-fledged franchise, damn Scoot.
Makes me think of Final Fantasy
