It's a Steam key for the game Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location.

Steam keys are redeemed by clicking on the 'games' drop down at the top left of your screen, and selecting "Activate a product on Steam", and copy pasting the code.

A bot script snatched up that key code literally the moment you posted it. If you feel the need to key drop, please hide some (as in more than 1) of the characters in the key so a human actually has time to acquire it before a bot auto inputs it.

The best alternative for you to use, would be simply asking people if they would like your spare key on a first come, first serve basis. Also CHECK THE PROFILE of the person you're giving it to is not private just to make sure the person doesn't own the game already. Be extremeley suspicious of private accounts!

Doing this makes sure the person doesn't try to flip the game for cash or another game. Also check to make sure the person asking for your key isn't swimming in an already insane amount of games (2000+, 3000+ games) It kinda makes them look a wee bit on the greedy side...

Practicing these steps help stop people using bot scripts and hoarders from abusing key drops. Remember don't feed the bot scripts and hoarders. Rule number 1 when sharing keys on Steam: Don't share them openly on the post forums, tell people to add you to get their key from you.

Okay, thanks for the tips! I don't often really share keys on Steam, because I often times have friends I can give them to. I will be sure to be more careful in the future.

At least 80% of the mem8ers of this forum has this game already. 8esides, the steam 8ots snatched that key up the moment you posted it anyway.
