Why Michael Afton Isn't The Killer (Spoilers For Everything)
It has become apparent to me that people assume that Michael Afton (purple guy's son) is the true killer. I believe this is false.

Evidence A
In the ending of the custom night, Michael says that he found what his dad told him to find. He also sates "she is re-activated, just like you asked". What does this have to do with Michael not being the purple guy? Simple: we see purple guy in the minigames after each custom night challenge. This means that purple guy, if he was Michael, wouldn't have to be told by his father where baby (what I presume he found) was, but know himself because he put her there. Of course, you could say that they're both the purple guy, but only Michael is the killer.

Evidence B
This one is a bit controversial. The book. In the book, it is stated that William Afton is the killer. Though Michael Afton isn't mentioned in the book, that doesn't mean he doesn't exist. This one is a bit weak considering what is and isn't canon in the book is still debated over, I do believe it is enough to be mentioned.

Evidence C
Weak evidence. The Michael being the killer theory has very weak evidence to the point of assumptions. We say that purple guy tricked/forced his son into killing the children. How do we know? We don't. We say that purple guy has manipulated his son. How do we know that? We still don't. There is no evidence at all to support these claims. None. Still, most of the community believes it. Why? I don't know, maybe some big FNaF youtuber said it. But when the facts are laid out, there just isn't enough to support this theory.

But then, what did happen?

Well, here's my idea:
Michael was told by his father to go and find baby. He finds her somewhere in Freddy Fazbear's (old) and is mistaken to be his father by the animatronics. This is all supported by the cutscene at the end of Golden Freddy mode. He rebuilds her, but is caught by the souls of the animatronics he dismantled. He is then springtrapped, and dies. But he lived! Then FNaF3 happens, and he dies in a fire. But he lived! I know all this "but he lived!" stuff may make this seem unreasonable, but just remove it and it'll make sense. Now, he seeks revenge against his father who did this to him.

Enter, whatever is next. The end.

TL;DR: He didn't do it.

Incorrect. He states: "I put her back together, just like you asked me to."

Why would Purple Guy be running around shanking animatronics in the FNaF 2 establishment, which is full of blood pools and dead children lying around (carefully put out of the cameras' sight), smiling?

Explain how he could possibly be innocent in a situation like that, especially if he's happy with it.

Michael Afton is the Purple Man and in FNAF 2 during the minigames we see him get out of a car and murder a child and then 5 more dead children appear after he shows up In the Foxy Go Go Go minigame- that is plenty of evidence for him being a killer.

Michael Afton did not find Baby in an old Freddy's Pizzeria, he found her at the Sister Location facility. Baby then turned into Ennard, scooped Michael, and then lived in his stomach until he coughed her up. Baby/Ennard was long gone when Michael started dismantling animatronics at Freddy's in FNAF 3.

I find your theory questionable.

Smiling from his skin being stretched out by Ennard, then he is a cop investigating the murders. And when he sees Freddy, he freaks out and run toward him, and attacks.

And Michael was mentioned in the book. Remember, he was one of the kids who died at FFP. He died from William Afton.

What evidence do you have that Michael put Baby underground?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhckuhUxcgA You just said Michael is the killer when your entire thread is about debunking that theory.

2). For the last damn time, THE BOOK ISN'T CANON TO THE GAMES' LORE! STOP USING IT AS EVIDENCE!

3). I agree overall with this one except I'm not 100% sure if Mike (Purple Guy) is innocent or not, I mean, if he isn't innocent how do you explain this:

That link is Scott messing with us.

1. Same exact thing, just re-phrased.
2. I don't have evidence, it doesn't exist. You know why? Because william was the one who put her there.
3. Please re-read the statement, this time with context.
4. There are elements that are canon, as Scott said.
5. That is FNaF World.

Why the hell would Michael be a cop, though?

There is no reason for him to be one, and wouldn't he be wearing a blue uniform if he were one?

Because he has a weird skin tone.

Where did you come up with that?
