Where exactly is William Afton now?
If Michael was doing his speech thing after Fazbear Fright burned down (Which makes the most sense), then where would he start looking? I mean, William must be pretty old by now considering that Michael was born in the sixties or something. I'm now imagining FNAF 5 being us playing as William trying to defend a care home or something from Springtrap lol

if he was around 20 or so when he killed the first people, in the 1960's, this would make him 96 or so.

Huh. if so, he's greatly surpassed the life expectancy of his time.
People born in in 1940 or earlier usually only last about sixty two or so years.

One of the things I always wanted to see the FNAF franchise do is, go to Afton's mansion.

Imagine a creepy Manor house filed with animatronics from all the games in various states of repair or decay, you're the hired private security for Mr Afton, and you have to try and not die.

Or in his old age he's hired someone to help him fix up the animatronics and you have to try and keep them from killing you while you do your job.

Or, you know, you play as an incredibly paranoid Afton who is sititng in his bedroom with a tablet.

William Afton is Springtrap. Mike is going to Fazbear's Fright to find him because "something is wrong with him" and "he won't die".
which is why when you finish the third game and you light up the newspaper you see Springtrap

I'm confused.

Michael is Purple Guy, right? Which is mean that he also is Springtrap. BUT! We see in the novel that William actually died in a springlock suit.

???

Maybe both died in a springlock suit. Michael in Spring Bonnie (Springtrap) and William, his father, in another unnamed suit or Fredbear / Golden Freddy.

What if it wasn't William?

"They thought I was you."

That and the Book is an alternate timeline/reality retelling of the original story.

I've been saying it for a while now, the universe in the book is not the same as the universe in the games. I even made a thread a while back about the Purple Guy not being William Afton but someone else.

I have theorized this also and told people to not expect William's life to be the same in both timelines. It was William in the book that got spring locked and in the games it was his son.
