Alright, in the book which I just spent 8 hours reading, Charlie goes to St. George to start her new college with Jessica, but one day when after class when she's going back to her dorm, Clay stops her and tells her they found a body that he tells Charlie might look familiar. They drive down to this field where they found a completely torn up and destroyed body with the same injuries and died the same way Dave/William died at the end of TSE. Later while Charlie is on her way to see John at a diner, she comes across another body on the road that died the exact same way as the man they found and it becomes clear that someone or something is stuffing people inside springlock suits. Charlie and Jessica then head to Freddy's just to make sure William hasn't returned and when they get there, they head to Pirate's Cove and find a trapdoor with William's rotting corpse inside Spring Bonnie is hidden. Charlie and John then go to Henry's house where they find a hidden room underneath Charlie's room that has 3 graves inside, and inside one of these graves they find Twisted Foxy who then rises and attacks Charlie before being knocked out by John and turns into a destroyed regular Foxy. They find a disk inside him that distracts the eyes and mind from what they're really seeing (which is how the Twisted animatronics and possibly the Nightmare animatronics work, it's a regular animatronic but using mind and eye distractions can be turned into either "Twisted" form or "Nightmare" form.) The gang then sees that the disk was made by Afton Robotics and they conclude that this must be the return of Afton. Later, Charlie heads to a show house to sacrifice herself since the Twisted Animatronics are after her, not her friends. Charlie then tries to go to sleep but gets awaken when Twisted Freddy comes up to her and eats her. Twisted Freddy then buries himself as the Twisted animatronics can only move during night and during day, must bury themselves. (I know, I don't get it either.) Charlie eventually gets out of Twisted Freddy and crawls out but finds herself in the FNaF 2 location where she runs into Balloon Boy. She then sees dozens of dead children around her and many monstrous animatronics. Clay and the others then show up where using a gun, Clay shoots the lights causing the illusions that make all of these animatronics appear. William then comes out except now he is Springtrap saying this is his new life as an animatronic. Charlie then proceeds to chase him down through these Cave Tunnels and when she finally catches up, she beats up and stabs Springtrap demanding to know why he took Sammy and not her. Springtrap then says he never took Sammy, and only took her. Springtrap then falls down a trapdoor and the gang escapes as the building starts collapsing. When they get out, they enter into a secret room of Henry's house where Charlie is convinced she will find Sammy here. John then gets her out of the daze by telling her he loves her (IT'S OFFICIAL, CHARLIE X JOHN) and they get out. But not before Twisted Freddy tries taking down Charlie with her and when they get out, Charlie is presumably dead inside of Twisted Freddy has blood came out where she was trapped, but John saw her Aunt with the body. Then at the very end, they see a woman who looks like Charlie come to the diner their at, but it isn't Charlie. And after seeing this woman, Arty (who basically started a love triangle between Charlie, John, and Arty) smirks and the book ends. I honestly think Charlie survived and possibly becomes the Marionette as neither in TSE or TTO does the Puppet appear. What do you guys think?

Aunt Jen was at the crime scene with Charlie, but was that her in the red dress at the end too?

They weren't about to explain Twisted Animatronics to Marla in front of Arty.

With how Springtrap says that he chose Charlie over Sammy and Charlie being spring locked makes me think that mayhaps he has a plan for Charlie. I can see the opening line of the next book now.

*Spoiler, of course* Charlie was pulled into Twisted Freddy and then the house, which had been damaged by the hurricane and the destruction of its underground tunnel, collapsed on top of Twisted Freddy. John was pretty certain Charlie was already dead before the house collapsed, but by the end of the book her body had not yet been recovered from the rubble.

The story takes place in Hurricane Utah but if I remember right by The Silver Eyes, Jessica was living in New York.
