Who is Eggs Benedict?
I know in a previous steam post that Scott said that the Golden Freddy cutscene would let us see what happened to Eggs Benedict. His wording, however, leads me to believe that there are three possibilities:

1. He is Michael. Not necessarily purple guy.

2. He is the purple guy. Not necessarily Michael.

3. He is Michael who is the purple guy.

The visual of springtrap connects Michael to the purple guy to me. I did not refer to William as the purple guy at all because in the book he is never revealed as the purple guy, just revealed as a killer.

That post was deleted, but I know what post you're talking about nonetheless and I'm going to tell you that it's not canon in the way you think it is. The book is a separate continuity from the games.
He specifically said that the book was canon to the games. I understand that he stated that they were seperate continuities, but that would mean that the book isn't canon. Sister Location also makes direct references to the book clearly stating the name Afton. Sister Location is also linked to the games which makes it all canon.

Scott states that the book is canon, but he also said that it's not meant to splve the lore. These two statements contradict one another (it makes me question Scott's understanding of what canon means all the time). The best way to interpret them and making them both true is by making the book a separate continuity from the games. The novel is a simple adaptation of the FNAF story, borrowing certain details from the games but also not being 100% accurate, inherently making it not canon with the games, only the story.

I don't see the relevence of this. Adaptations reuse the names of the characters all the time. SL has no linkage to the book outside of using a single name, which isn't even all that out of the ordinary.

Now that I think about it, we should just stop this argument. There are several conflicting events in the book with the games that a separate continuity solves. That does not mean there aren't details that should be kept, like the fact that Fredbear's Family Diner (or at least a second version) has the Golden Freddy and Golden Bonnie animatronics. A separate continuity could take place in an alternate universe where things are slightly different. It definitely solves the fact that five dead child souls pushed purple guy into Golden Bonnie and he got crushed in the games, while in the book Charlie kicks the springlocks loose in front of 4 other alive teens. There are still details to maintain, but it can still be a separate continuity with different events at different times.

I meant the argument on book canonicity, not the identity of Eggs Benedict.
No.

You're wrong.

It doesn't matter who Eggs Benedict is.

Because he will never give you up, never let you down, never gonna run around and desert you, never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

If so, why William call himself Springtrap in the TTO if Michael is the Purple Guy ?
Case Closed

Because William is the Purple Guy in that universe, not Michael.
