This game was built with ImpactJS. You can see our full list of tools over on our blog:

you should judge games just becasue they're made with RPGmaker. That's like acting like Trump and banning all muslims because of their religion.

I know you meant shouldn't, but I do. I've spent way too much money on games that are false advertising, only to have part of the game, and to have horrific grammar. I'm no grammar expert, but when I see it regularly in a game, it just takes me right out of the fantasy. There's a huge difference between me saying "I'm not buying RPGMaker games" than "Let's BAN all RPGMaker games" don't you think? Your example is too extreme.

I'm guessing because of the limitations it has from what I've seen. Glad this isn't which is why it's getting more attention.

You say that now but in your OP you were ready to ignore this game if it was made on Rpg maker! It's you who is extreme because bad games happen whatever the engine is made on. You're such an hypocrite.

RPG Maker can be a powefull tool in the right hands. Sadly only things people see are the really bad ones. To the moon was made with an rpg maker. Just because some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ try to make a quick dollar with abusing greenlight u cant say rpg maker games are bad in general.

If you want to see whats possible with the engine check this out:

How is me saying that I won't buy it the same as saying NO ONE should be able to buy these games? Good lord people, lighten up, get a grip. I'm not gay, but because I advocate gay marriage does that mean I HAVE to get married to another guy? That's your logic.

Bottom line is this:
I don't like RPGMaker games, 99% of the time I won't buy them.

I don't care if YOU buy them, or they are sold, I just won't buy them.

How that translates into BAN ALL RPGMAKER GAMES is beyond me.

Until I see RPGMaker games that don't all look the same, that will be my position. Maybe one day someone will KNOCK me out with an RPGMaker game, but so far, hasn't happened.

Some of them do look interesting, but some of them meh, thanks for your effort.

You are not able to know if a game is used or not RPGMAKER, but you hate the games that use it.

It does not have any logic what you just said, better not buy any game pixelart is not going to be that you discover that it has nothing to do with the engine they use.
Grinded Gear Feb 24, 2017 @ 10:44am
Good lord, I've never seen such a group of people who can't handle the fact that god forbid someone doesn't share the same exact opinion as them. Again it's MY personal choice not to like RPGMaker games, I don't expect the world to have the same opinion as me, nor do I want to STOP RPGMaker games from being made or sold. Go about your business, there is nothing to see here.

Bottom line:
If you like RPGMaker games, GREAT!
If you don't, fine too!

Enough.

Geez, people. The directness and lack of subtlety of his query was a little gauche, but ease off on him. Even as someone who's been aware of the RPG Maker scene for over a decade, I don't really blame him for being dismissive of most games created through the engine when Sturgeon's Law is in full effect, particularly when it comes to the few that manage to get commercially released on this platform. I've seen a lot of better RPG Maker games off-site that are free and more deserving to be commercially sold that some of the ones I've seen sold on here. They're not the best the community has to offer, whether it be through the use of stock assets or through the underutilization of the engine due to using only the most basic/generic systems and functions.

That said, TC, I'd recommend for your sanity to just unsub this thread if you've gotten everything you needed from this thread. I have a feeling this'd just keep going on if you let it, especially since there'll probably be no shortage of people that'd feel inclined to respond to the thread due to several reasons.
