Darksiders 2 needs 3 million sales to guarantee the sequels. Will we see an end to the 4 Horsemans story?
I love this game, but im worried of its fate. It was top of the sales on release day, but its falling fast. On Steam alone, its almost off the top 10, and things arent looking much better for the consoles. Tell your friends about this game. Spread the word. Let THQ know that we want and will support its successors!

I hope yes, love this game!

Hopefully sales will go up once the game has been patched to resolve certain bugs and graphical glitches on both pc and console versions. Until then people just have to suck it up and enjoy the damn game. A lot of hard work was put into it and I would hate to not see any more sequals because of people's ridiculous obsession with having every game look pretty and clean. Just look at minecraft. It's so simple but it has been able to sell over 7 million copies.

Here's hoping! I can't wait to see how they'll further evolve this series.

Despite the already known game issues, and the fact that the game really is very good., I am very disappointed by THQ's attitude with the launch of DS2. Like so many others, i realized that my reward for PAYING for the game, instead of simply sticking to the "free version" was to wait a whole lot longer than everyone else to play it , And if that wasn't enough, i also realized that for pre-ordering the game, i GET a lot LESS content than pirates...Just take a look at some forums, the pirated version includes pretty much EVERY ITEM available so far,( Shadow and Angel of death Armor sets, Crows hammer, rusanov's axe, skeletal axe, dark talons, makers armor set and a lot more)...
Quoting Gabe Newell: " Piracy is mainly a service problem"...
I for one have learned my lesson, no more pre-order's for me, and I'll probably only buy stuff on sales. As for paying DLC, i refuse to pay a single cent for content that should be included in the game from the start.... I really hope for another sequel to the series and I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR IT, IF I GET A BETTER PRODUCT or at least the same as pirates do...

antares stop making sense! also if you let companies tell you how many copies need to be sold for a sequel, then you are a pawn in their plan to hold series you love hostage for money. ♥♥♥♥ their greediness, they should be happy anyone bought their awful port

Really? It has nothing to do with greediness. How do you expect Vigil to pay its employees if they cant make enough sales to fund development of its sequels?

One of the most disgusting console ports ever to disgrace pc gamers, they should unrelease it and give us all double our money back !

DIsgusting port? Why just because theres limited graphics options? Sorry, but the game runs GREAT for most people so no, its not a disgusting console port.

As far as DLC that should be in the final product, what are you talking about? Arguls Tomb? Thats not even out yet. Are you talking about the store bonuses of various armor or weapons? Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about those, honestly?
Dray 20 AGO 2012 a las 11:53 p. m.
The publisher funds the developer, not individual game sales. So even if Darksiders does really well, Vigil could still be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because THQ, in general, is ran by thawed-out Cro-Magnons. It would be wonderful if Darksiders II sells three million copies by virtue of it being a very good game. But anyone, publisher or developer alike, putting a sales quota TO THE CUSTOMER for any future installments is freaking insulting.

As to the bad port part, we were promised graphics options and a tweakable config file, neither of which are available. Look at what Sleeping Dogs did if you want to know what a not awful, straight PC port looks like. Vsync is straight broken for a lot of people, and the game simply doesn't look that good and we have no options to make it look any better,

I actually don't mind the DLC. There's no day 1 mission DLC like Mass Effect, and the pre-order stuff is the retailers being ♥♥♥♥♥, not THQ, surprisingly enough. Retailers demand exclusive content in return for ordering some odd hundred thousand copies of the game.

First of all they should have done a better port to Pc and should have upgraded the graphics for the pc players. This game was like a ♥♥♥♥ you to us Pc gamers. Specially to the ones in Europe which got the game 1 week later. And this made most of the customers pirate it beacuse why wait another week for a game instead of downloading it a week earlier for free.

To be honest, I never really enjoyed the franchise up until this release. I've always loved the backstory of the Four Horsemen in Mythology. Keep this game going!

I totally agree with you there. I see no reason why they couldn't do a world wide release of the game. Why must we wait an entire week to play the game I PAID for. I know of a few persons who finished the "Free Version" before i could even play the one I PAID FOR.

Lol at "Free version" Damn that Skidrow guy :P

Its not insulting, its buisness. Why would THQ, a company already on the verge of bankrupcy, sign off on Darksiders 3 if Darksiders 2 barely breaks even? THQ has to know that people will buy it if they make Darksiders 3.

There is literally no way THQ needs Darksiders II to sell 3 million copies to turn a profit. They're seeing how high they can dangle the sequel over our heads before we stop jumping trying to get it. If Darksiders II sells 3 million, I promise you Darksiders III will need to sell 5 million before we get the next game. And I will be eagerly awaiting your defense of that :)

The reality is that if Darksiders II is even relatively profitable, THQ will keep investing in the franchise. Buy the game if you like it, not because of THQ's threats. Period.

You sir, are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by saying that with no supporting evidence.

I honestly do want to see Strife and Furry get a game of their own as it would make the darksiders expierence just that much more epic.
