Buy DmC Devil May Cry instead

Don't get me wrong, Darksiders are fine games, but:
49.99€ for a 6 months old game? You got to be kidding me. If it'll be 12€ now on sale with all the DLCs (there's ton of useless DLCs) it will be worth it, but now it's not.

New DMC costs only 39.99€ and that's a fresh new game. It's better then Darksiders in terms of combat complexity, replayability and for me it was just more fun overall. Moreover it's MUCH better PC port than Darksiders 2 which is just ported straight from consoles with no graphics options or anything. I'd say DmC is together with Alan Wake one of the best PC ports I've seen.

And sadly, we probably won't get Darksiders 3 from Vigil when THQ is dead now. You can't help them anymore with buying this, but you can help DmC to get a sequel if you'll get it.
Watch TB's vid if you wish, his opinions are often very reasonable, although he obviously suck in the game :D. You can skip to 45min for conclusion.

If you like good action hack'n slash games, you won't be disappointed with this one, there is nothing better on PC in this genre.

What do you care most about in a fighting game? Well the story is good too, and level design is gorgeous.

DmC is a spectacle fighter with minimal exploration elements. DS2 is a exploration/dungeon crawler game with spectacle combat.

Because I suppose that when you are reading this forum now when the game is on sale you are looking for advice if to buy it or not. And I just think that DmC is a better choice from the same genre, and much better port, if you care about quality of proper PC games.

Moreover it was 13€ during winter sale with almost all DLCs, so no, it's really not worth it right now.

Alright my mistake, it was probably around 16€ on winter sale, but I'm sure that it was with almost all DLCs (there were only 1 or 2 missing). Now it's just the game for the same price.

If I remember correctly I've bought it from amazon at that time where it was cheaper - 13$ will all DLCs.

Darksiders II is an action-adventure/action role-playing video game developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ

While these games have similar elements they are not from the same genre.

Considering people would be coming here for a sale why would you suggest they buy a full priced game at $49.99?

DmC and Darksiders 2 are very different games just because the combat kind of looks the same doesn't make both games equal, DmC is as linear in terms of design as it can get: platforming - fight - platforming and a boss at the end of some missions with a crap soundtrack(Except gimme deathrace that song is good), terrible dialogue and a meh story at best.
Darksiders 2 is more of a Dark Zelda, hell some of the items you get are almost the same, in the first one at least, an amazing soundtrack by Jesper Kyd, pretty good dialogue, and an ok story.

I like both series but you cant really compare them.
Darksiders is more about adventure, exploration and puzzles plus the combat.
DMC is all fast paced hack and slash action.

I bought darksiders because it was on sale.
I wont buy DMC until its 75% off .
