can't enter city of the dead after helping the king, bug?

okey so this is the problem, i gave the king his dead cort and got the soul split. after that is shut the game down after the auto save with after that the talk by the door of the city of the dead. next time i get in to the game door is closed and ad first i also wasn't able to fast travel but after going into a dungeon i was able to fast travel.

in a hope of fixing it i also went back to the forge lands and went back..... no luck :(

plz someone help me i like the game a lot and realy want to end the game....

The only thing I can think of is to go into My Documents/My Games/Darksiders 2 and if open up the folder with random numbers you should see all your save files. Try backing up and deleting the most recent entry and see if that helps. I really hope it does. I understand how much losing progress sucks.

Hey Roach, this is probably 7 years late, but writing it here for whoever stumbles on the same problem, I had the same problem as you, wondered for 2 hours, even did some Side Quests hoping it would confuse the game into opening the door, but we just haven't seen what was right in front of us, the door won't open by itself, we need to use the new soul skill to slide the 2 statues in front of it.
