I'm not sure where you got the idea of "hey just play it for a couple of hours and that's it" Darksiders 2 is pretty big, and if you're the kind to try and collect everything, you are going to spend some time doing it.
The game caps out at level 22 on the first playthrough, you have to play a New Game+ in order to level up to 30.
Critical Chance and Damage are probably the most important things, but I played my first playthrough without worrying about it. I'd say it might be a little more important in the 2nd playthrough, but you can become pretty over powered when you start to get those numbers up.
Money has been pretty useless, never used Thorns and didn't focus on Arcane, Health is a give or take depending on the armour and other stats it has.
Is the game too tough for you ? Like I said, I don't really understand the question.
I'll try to explain why I thought this game was "hey just play it for a couple of hours and that's it"..
I installed it because it reminded me a lot of Prince of persia forgotten sands and the others.. of course I'm not saying these games are identical, but the gameplay of darksiders where Death can run on walls or fight like that.. well..
Anyway, with that in mind, I thought this game didn't need hours and hours but just a few to be completed. But I'm really happy i was wrong, and actually I'm loving it more and more.
I don't play this kind of games so much, meant as games were you need to check the stats of armor or weapons in order to get the best from all along with skills etc..
I'm more like a tomb raider game.. just play and it's all.
That's why I'm asking what exactly are thorns, gilt, arcane...
I read the guide here that explain what is what: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=125935238
and now I've got a clearer idea of stats in this game.
Critical damage and critical chance are the only stats I used, my possessed scythe reached the max level and has crit. damage and chance with few others..
I know now that I should not increase Arcane if I don't want the Necromancer also.
I only wanted to know what is gilt (because when you level up it also increases gilt), thorns.. and what it is best to improve for Harbinger skill.
(I had to reach level 7 to beat Gorewood and I thought I did choose wrong stats)
Plus, about Gorewood, you can encounter him at lvl 2, you can also beat it at that time but you'll have to dodge everything. The item you drop is 10 or 12 if i can recall, so there is nothing wrong with waiting before cutting this tree :)
What did this have to do with the topic?
I suggest you run back to the DOTA forums for the attention you seek.
Oh wait...according to your review of said game..."Oh and you will get muted for 128 hours every other day".
Seems no one is paying attention to you there either. After looking at your posting history, I can see why.
Glad you wasted your time to look something up, be seeing you.
First, I must correct you there. The Necromancer skills are based on the attribute arcane, and the further you progress in the game, the more powerful it will become. A pure arcane build can steam roll the game pretty early. Towards the end of the game, the damage output becomes ridiculous, especially if you use arcane, health steal, wrath steal, and arcane critical chance on possessed scythes. You can get items with health steal and wrath steal from level 16 onwards, just constantly check all the merchants whenever you get to them to buy potions or sell loot. Combine this with a possessed hammer as secondary weapon (best weapon to control groups) to dish out enormous damage (strength, inferno damage, critical chance, critical damage) while your minions provide the necessary distraction.
As concerns the loot, it is created completely randomly save the rewards for certain quests. I have completed the game many times, including new game plus, and I have never had a problem finding useful gear. There may be hardship once in a while, but if you open all chests and check all merchants often, you should finally get that for which you are looking.
I only found a possession weapon once (a scythe) at lvl 4 [...] and I still have at lvl 16 because of good improvement on critical change and damage.. might be not awesome but still not bad. Couldn't find others possessed weapon!
about the 2nd weapon, don't remember if I'm still using that one dropped from gorewood or something else.. 2 days i'm not playing..
about skills I will leave harbinger for now but i will give necromancer a try later on the game or at different difficulty!
ps. why dont just write without text effects?
You can, by the way, purchase random possessed weapons from Vulgrim with boatman coins. Each costs 20 boatman coins. Otherwise, use the Demonheart Talisman on chests.
