It will be released Friday Nov 16, evening PST time, on the Beta branch of Steam. I'm not sure it is quite ready for everyone (balancing issues) but it is ready enough for those that want to play the newest release.

Wow, OK then! That's great. Will it be available for purchase then, and then have to access a Beta version using the "password"? I don't mind paying up front; people should be paid for their good work :)

Guess my question is, otherwise, how would one access the Beta, if the game isn't in your library, like post-purchase?

Ya, sorry if it is confusing.
So you pre-order the game from www.archmagerises.com.
That gives you a steam key. That's the only way to get it.
Activate the steam key and the game will show up in your steam library.

(Tomorrow) Right click the game and choose Properties then Beta Tab
Put in the password "password" and select the beta branch that will appear there.

OH wait, i want to be clear this isn't the final RELEASE, this is a pre-alpha release. I'm not even done all the features yet. But Build 11 is a good representation of what the final game could be.

Yes, I kind of gathered that from the blogs and updates. I would have thought you would have classified the game by now as Alpha, with Beta meaning essentially feature complete (which, as you said, it isn't). Thought I saw the pre-Alpha moniker applied to the game back in 2015. You must be a perfectionist. All good :)

I am. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well.
However, that doesn't mean the game is as I want it to be (it isn't) or that it isn't riddled with bugs and balance issues (it is). The pre-alpha build 11 release is going out because it's good enough. Something a perfectionist has a hard time saying and doing but i think it is the right move for the project and fans. So here we go!

Hi swl2072, just crank up B10 at least once so you'll see the difference with B11 ;) It's worth the journey imho.

No you'll have to do the beta branch password process stated above.
Except it isn't up yet. I'm on PST and still have a few more hours for fixes before I push it up.
Will be up around 7pm PST.
There will be a Steam game announcement and i'll post to this thread.
