Achievements not unlocking?

So I started this game on Oct 18 and the first 2 achievements unlocked just fine, however after that no more are unlocking for me. I'm at the point where now I have to go defeat the worm boss.

In the sequence the achievement to freeing Samael from his prison is next but that hasn't happened yet in my game so it's good. But the other achievements to Meet Ulthane, Defeat Tiamat, Defeat the Griever etc upto that point hasn't unlocked yet, WTF?

And yes I was playing with Steam in Online mode with even my status as In-game, all my playing hours have been properly tracked as well, but no achievements?

You need to restart Steam before playing or achievements won't unlock.

I am having the same problem. It sucks after all the great things i ve done like unlocking the abyssal armor and completing the game in apocalyptic

Wow sucks for you guys. Thankfully I was able to get the answer to the problem over here.Then to get the missed achievements I just replayed the game from the beginning till the point of defeating the Griever on easy mode and it took me ~3.5 hours.

Just shut down Steam completely and then log in again. I have no idea why the game is weird that way but each time you launch Steam, Darksiders achievements only work the first time you launch the game. If you close the game but leave Steam running, the next time you launch Darksiders it no longer communicates with whatever server maintains your achievement progress.

Sooo... Who have used SAM ? How do you use it ? What about bans of STEAMID for "cheating" ? About VAC system?

Still have another ~7 locked story achievements...

I don't want to be baned because of "developers"s / [integration to steam] fails, which do not unlock achievements... But I want to complete 100% achievements, because I love this game... and play in 4-th time through... noooo... not now...

I'm having a similar problem, about to go to the last area of the game and I'm still missing the achievements for getting the horse and beating silitha. I haven't been alt+tabbing out so I don't know what else could be causing it. It's not too big an issue for me, just mildly annoying. Considering it seems to be a common issue with this game, I doubt anyone would be banned for it.

I think everyone that played this game got this problem. Developers didn't care and if you send a ticket they will all said the same "Just played the game and try to unlock again"

Had exactly same problems as all of you and this was the most decent thread I could find without any mumbo jumbo going on from adhd mobs of kids. Glad I found it.
So I now know why several of my achievements never unlocked :(

This is pathetic... I thought Blizzard got serious isseues with achievements sometimes, but this is an outrage. You buy the game and you cannot even get the achievement in proper way. I think I'll return to PS3 and PS4. All is working... maybe some people should repair it and grant us our achievements which we earn in right way :/

well that's because Darksiders doesnt have achievements in game ;) other steam games if your steam was dced u will get all achievements when u log in that u earned while steam was dced next time be carefull and make backup saves..

well that's because Darksiders doesnt have achievements in game ;) other steam games if your steam was dced u will get all achievements when u log in that u earned while steam was dced :Smiler: next time be carefull and make backup saves..
