Black Throne Second Guardian bug?

Well it seems that if I can't get past this, I guess the game is over.

I am trying to jump on the guardians head to kill it with the portals. Problem is when I go into the portals, I don't get launched high enough to glide to him. I get half the distance and then my wings come out. Now I know how to use the portals and jumping and using the wings. It' seems like there is an invisible roof that I am hitting because no matter what, I cannot get the height needed to do this.

Is there another way to kill him?

Well I figured it out. You have to super charge your portal maker. if you just one tap to make a portal, it's a weak jump in the air. Super charging it makes you go really high in the air.
