Below is the full tournament rulebook for Eximius Season 2 "Spring Rumble" (North America)

Communication:
Teams MUST be in the designated discord channel
There will be dedicated channels for teams to communicate and organise matches. There will also be dedicated voice channels for each team. https://discord.gg/tpCRZ4xk

General Conduct
  • For an orderly and pleasant game, it is essential that all Players have a good sportsmanship and fair attitude. Breaches of this rule will lead to penalty points. The most important and most common offences are listed below. However, the Tournament administration may assign penalties for not explicitly listed types of unsportsmanlike behaviour (e.g. harassment).
  • For the duration of the tournament, players will use proper In game name/handle that is easily identifiable to specific players
  • For the duration of the tournament, player’s profile picture on steam should not contain any materials that may be deemed offensive, vulgar, or obscene
  • Players will refrain from the use of vulgar language during the entire competition. All rules of conduct also apply to chat through the game console.
  • Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause, or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct, and will result in match penalties, forfeit and disqualification from the tournament.
  • Players might find certain bug issues during the tournament. If any player who exploits and uses the bug during the tournament, the player will be given a warning and might be led to disqualification.
  • This tournament is meant to be fun and enjoyable for all, player are encouraged to be respectful of the other teams and team member
  • Cheating doesn't need to be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is already a violation and will lead to automatic disqualification for all conspirators. Examples of cheating include, but aren't limited to:
    ○ Ringer
    ○ Account Sharing
Teams / Player Requirement
  • All team players are expected to have Discord installed on their manager/leader PC or Mobile device or have access to it on other devices.
  • Players are not allowed to join more than 1 team.
  • By registering, the teams acknowledge that all usage of photos, videos, and any form of recording during the tournament have been given legal consent by the players for media and marketing purposes.
  • Every player must own an Eximius: Seize the Frontline on Steam

The act of registering for this tournament implies full acceptance of all terms, conditions, rules, and regulations stated, in its entirety.

Tournament Bracket Format
All games will be a “Best of 3”, with Grand Final being “Best of 5” with Double Elimination format.
When more than 8 (EIGHT) teams registered, the qualifier round will be conducted as a form of Round Robin. Teams
will be further communicated regarding this should it be necessary. Qualifier will be in format of Best of ONE

Map Veto System & Faction Choice
The map and faction selection process must be started prior to the match starting time, at a specific time arranged by League Administration via the main official communication method.
Each Team has 1 Minutes per step, during that time they are allowed to speak and talk about the next pick or ban. Map list:
  • Academy
  • Central
  • Downtown
  • Express
  • Sunday Mall
  • The Crossing
  • Town Square

Map and Faction Selection system

Best of Three (BO3) Matches:
Coin toss will be done for Match 1 & Match 3 (Tie Breaker), the winner gets to choose to act as Team A or Team B.

Game 1:
Ammobox Marshall Ban ONE Map
Team A chooses Faction and ban TWO maps
Team B Choose map to play from remaining available selection

Game 2:
Losing Team may choose to
  • Gain Faction Advantage (Faction Swap) and ban TWO maps, or;
  • Gain Map Advantage by picking map to play from remaining available selection
Opposite team automatically gets the option not selected
Ammobox Marshall will ban ONE map prior to team’s decision
Note: Map Pool refresh on every Game (i.e: map banned previously will still be available)

Game 3 (Tie Breaker):
Ammobox Marshall Ban ONE Map
Team A chooses Faction and ban TWO maps
Team B Choose map to play from remaining available selection

In-game Rules:
  • Application Version: Eximius: Seize The Frontline
  • Game Mode: PVP Custom Game
  • Base Placement: Default
  • Region Setting: Asia
  • Victory Points Limit: 500
  • Death Match: Disable
  • Resource Handicap: 100
  • Spectators are prohibited to be in the lobby, except for tournament admins.
  • If any player disconnects during a match, the game continues. The disconnected players are required to reconnect as soon as possible. Any issue regarding connection It will be the responsibility of the player. In the case of a server crash, admin will rehost the lobby and restart the match.
  • If in any case a player from a team is unable to play or participate with a reasonable reason. The team is allowed to play with their remaining members
  • Make sure the team is fully ready and prepared throughout the whole Tournament.

Starting Match & Late Penalty
Participating teams are required to confirm their attendance 1 hour before the start of the match.

If a participating team fails to field a team ready for the match 5 minutes after the given time, they will be considered
as no show and will result in a default-loss of game 1. The team will be given another 10 minute to ready up, failing to
do so will result in default-loss of game 2. Hence forfeiting the matchup. In a Best of Five format, an additional 10
minutes will be given once more for the team to be present before forfeiting the matchup.

Teams are allowed to start the match with incomplete line-up, but with the minimum of 3 Players are required to be
present

Match times will be constantly updated to the participating teams in the event of delays.

Schedule Changes
Initial Match time slots will be conveyed with all teams before the start of the tournament. Once agreed on, teams are not allowed to change the time slots they are competing on. Time slots are subject to changes if the situation, teams and time table allows it.

Fair Play
Foul language, offensive and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated from any player and will result in the following:
  • First Warning that the team captain has to acknowledge.
  • Second Warning will lead to forfeiting the game.
  • Third Warning will lead to disqualification from the tournament.

Servers & Reconnection & Crashes
Server for this tournament will be in ASIA Region, players from other regions will be able to participate, but doing so indicates acceptance on the ping difference disadvantage that may be experienced.
In the event of any disconnects, the game will continue as usual and the disconnected player is encouraged to reconnect as soon as possible.

In the event the disconnected player forfeits the reconnection option by clicking Cancel, the affected team will continue as usual

In an unlikely event where the Server crashes, the match will be restarted.

If the match is restarted 3 times in a row, the team with the highest recorded Victory Point prior to the crash will be declared the victor.

Prize Delivery
Prize award listing:
  • Champion - RM 8,000
  • 1st Runner Up - RM 5,000
  • 2nd Runner Up - RM 3,000
  • 3rd Runner Up - RM 2,000
  • Showmatch Winner - RM 2,000

All prize money will be paid out, at the latest 90 days after the Tournament finals have been completed.

Prize money payment will be made using;
  • Direct Banking, or
  • PayPal
Using Paypal will incur charges that the receiver will have to bear, hence by choosing this payment method, it indicates that the receiver acknowledges and agrees to the incurred charges.


If a Team or Player is missing the proper payment information and makes no effort to fix this, the prize money will not be paid out.

Champion’s team will get a custom banner to immortalize their team in-game

The Prize payment will be made to the team captain, or the designated team member

Admin Rights
Admin may overrule all rules based on the situation. The organizer’s decision is final after the appeal process
