And then people could just press a button to equip a minigame avatar
1. Yeah, that limitation still exists. (I wouldn't call it a bug, it's intentional to prevent certain collision issues I think?) I had 2 previous right arms that replaced the hands, loved having a custom hand, but I love having buttons & custom scripts more which I why I haven't (yet?) replaced a hand on my latest avatar.
2. I seconded this request! Almost everyone has the floating white sphere for a hat on their heads (mine is in my hair). The arm spheres are outward from the line of the index-finger-hand-wrist, so when I make arms I want them to line right up along that line but the spheres are outward so I have to make invisible spheres on my arms to get them to connect. And then the white spheres are floating there off my arms. ;-)
3. OMG yes! Putting on my head is honestly the *only* complaint I have about all of Anyland. Really, the only negative for me. Even once I manage to get it on it's never perfectly straight or aligned, and then one tiny adjustment and >poof< it's gone, start all over again.
An idea: what if from the ME menu there was a button that closed the mirror and projected a 3-D "mannequin" of the white placement spheres + any body parts you currently have equipped. Then you could walk around the whole placed "mannequin avatar" temporarily for only you to see and add/remove/tweak alignment of body parts. That would keep with the in-VR theme Anyland has, instead of like a 2D paperdoll in a menu like an RPG.
4. So many fun things we could do with a "When Body Moving" type command.
5. A random number generator in Anyland would be a great addition to the feature set, for many, many things.
The sleeves evolved from my previous avatar's arms -- I had a ton of feature buttons on one arm and had made a panel to cover them, which slid back to reveal them on touch.
You know what I really want to do with that idea is armor plating that pops out and covers me! ;-)
If you get bored, I previously made 2 "avatar show-off" videos about my previous avatar. It had some other features that my new one doesn't (yet?).
toejam n Earl, kungfu Chaos.
Those are all on my build list, just waiting to get in : P
just kidding if you do decide to do any of those id love to see the final product.
also thought it'd be fun to make a scrolling spaceship game, wherein it's placed on the hand to control.
manequin +1 it'd be easier to get the avatar in place.
lol. No, none of those. It's kind of a weird bodiless Mars Attacks! martian. I haven't tried recreating anything specific yet though.
