The difference Reincarnation vs Max Damage?...
Confused. Not that I play these two a lot...
Reincarnation plays better, sounds better, looks clearer glossier, better music etc. Yet Reincarnation was released before Max Damage. MD looks dirtier than the sharper looking RIC, like smoggier more polluted environs etc. (better suited to game) but does not play as well in frame rates.
Both appear to be same content.
Multiplayer is always EMPTY on both, why?

Can you even buy Reincarnation on Steam? If not, that's likely the difference there. One being available on more platforms and the other not.

Max Damage was originally going to be an update to Reincarnation but due to their console publisher's terms it ended up being released as a "new" game which was automatically added to the libraries of anyone who owned Reincarnation.

On top of what Deadmarsh mentioned there's also an experimental beta patch for Max Damage which fixes a number of issues which had been present since Reincarnations left early access (such as the broken normalmaps) and adds in much better mod support.

It's strange you're finding Reincarnation has better performance than Max Damage as Reincarnation is significantly more power hungry and less optimized than Max Damage.

Multiplayer is always empty in both because hardly anyone plays them multiplayer anymore and the few that still play Max Damage multiplayer tend to play using the Overhaul mod which stops their games showing up for anyone not using the mod.

For appreciation of anarchic driving it all comes down to the music in Reincarnation being far better compared to MaxDamage, (compared when all sound settings are equal in game).
Question is can you use Reincarnation music in MaxDamage? are they inter-swap-able?

Don't know why Dev's would sacrificed better sounding quality of menu and background music in an supposedly 'upgrade' I find this aspect very disappointing in MaxDamage, and wish to fix it! Reincarnation is full on thrash metal and more in line with original 90's release.
MaxDamage comes across as muffled and generic non-descriptive.

Have stripped the quality settings out from MaxDamage to give better frame rates so are now happier with performance results. I was under the impression that Reincarnation was a later release to MaxDamge so was playing that primarily.

Yes it seems you cannot buy Reincarnation on steam, but from when I did acquire, its listed in my games library, so get to directly compare the two releases.
