Game Freezes after splash screen.
Exactly that the game freezes, I can't even alt tab out without it showing a black screen right above my start menu. If I go to the task manager I can trigger a logout session, which then closes steam and allows me to have control of my system again and removes the black screen.

What is the deal? I have no issues with any other game.

Wow no support at all.

Indeed, there hasn't been a developer involved with this game since THQ Nordic bought the franchise 5 years ago so there's no one but the community to give support.

What's your PC specs? The game has known issues with "modern" (Vega and later) AMD GPUs, it also can have issues with integrated GPUs.

My specs are not the issue, but I will go ahead and post. I appreciate the help. :D

Intel Xeon X5690 (dual socket)
4095MB NVIDIA Quadro M6000 24GB (Dell)
192GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)

Not sure what else you would need?

That's a bit dismissive, just because the raw specs might meet the minimum requirements doesn't mean there isn't an incompatibility. As I mentioned the game has issues with modern AMD cards regardless of their power, there have been plenty of people who have an RX7900XT have thought their specs aren't the issue when they actually were the issue.

It might be that the game has compatibility issues with Quadro cards as they do ruin slightly differently to GeForce cards due to being archtectured towards CAD work and not gaming, I've not seen anyone mention running it on Quadro cards before. There's a possibility that while you've got a ridiculous amount of memory, it's also awfully slow which might be causing issues. On the other hand you're running an ancient Xenon processor which certainly is powerful enough, it might be missing features the game uses. The minimum specs for the game are Sandy Bridge CPUs which introduced AVX instructions, but your CPU is based on an older architecture which doesn't support it. I dont' know if the game does use AVX instructions but it's a possibility and there might be other arcitechtural issues at play.

Additional information which might help would be the version of windows you're running and which driver version you're using.

I have the same issue swapping to a RX580 and old Titan video card, the game simply will not work. You mean well and I appreciate the help but you are 100% wrong about Quadro cards. It's true they have more hardware in them but they are the same base as gaming cards are constructed from. You can turn off the ECC mode which in the real world might make a 1% difference in performance. My system ram is 22gb per second with a ramdisk, that's far from slow. Xeons are quite future proof CPU's but you could be right about it not supporting some obtruse and likely unnecessarily cpu instruction.

I have zero issues with any other game, ones with higher graphic fidelity. It could be an issue with the middleware game engine this game was developed with. The version of windows is completely irrelevant, the only requirement is DX supported hardware.

What you said about Quadro cards would have been somewhat true if this was 1998. LOL
