There's also the C1 levels & cars I ported: http://www.carmatools.com/downloads/mods/Carmageddon_1_v1.mingeBag.zip
Porting C2 cars are a work in progress project I'm working on but it's slow going as I'm doing it by writing tools to do most of the work automatically so any C2 car can get ported, including the thousand mod cars. Here's a couple of videos of where I got to when I last had the chance to work on it:
https://youtu.be/b2odj1zMRvc

this is really cool stuff as well with all the old C2 ports.
im wondering, years ago there was a tool in development and to my knowledge it was maaaaybe nearing an update.
Took me a while to remember but its flummery
I remember having a problem when playing around with maps, i wanted to port some carmageddon maps to beamng at the time and i was able to get the model but all the map textures could not get accessed.
I waited patiently for years for that tool to get updated as i remember seeing a vid showing map texture being successfully opened and exported.
its been years since ive looked into this stuff.
Any idea whats the status with this in 2020?
Or if theres a way to unpack map files/textures?
As i mentioned its been a few years since ive looked into this stuff and just today have i started to look back into carmageddon.
after they closed the official carmageddon website i kinda forgot about this game completely.
It seems as if modding completely died for a few years but it looks as if its picked up some speed in 2020 again.
I found an updated flummery post on cwa

Thanks for posting that original post.
I never would have though about checking 3rd party modding websites. it just went way over my head since its been so long.
Hope yall are doing well.
Flummery has had a few improvements over the last few years, though Errol hasn't had as much time to work on it as he would have liked. Similarly I've been working on improving my tools a bit over the last few years but they're still janky and I haven't released much of what I've worked on yet.
Loading the mesh contents of a map is fine in the existing tools, but the level textures are not handled by any released tools as they are packed in Virtual Textures. I do have an unreleased tool which extracts VTs and can replace individual textures in them, and I've integrated that into my 3DS Max tools. I've also done a lot of work this year on tools for editing AI paths & race routes; and placing accessories, powerups & peds. As you can see below:
Business District loaded into 3DSMax fully textured with AI paths: http://www.carmatools.com/images/CarmaBusinessDistrictPaths2.PNG
(Note the badly textured roads and unblended dirt: that is due to the game using multiple textures and blending between them using multiple UV channels, it needs a custom shader written for 3DSMax to handle that)

There's a ton of work I need to do on these before it's stable enough to be released but they're coming along. If I had an infinite amount of time I would crack it out in no time :D
Thanks for letting me know.
im very glad theres still a community for this game.
its sad to see it was all closed down for a while.
But yeah. i completely understand with software dev. im no coder myself personally but im deep enough with computer knowledge to know softwares arent made in a day.
plus we all do this in our spare time, its all free at the end of the day. so its not really a big priority.
Also, ive been slowly messing around with stuff since yesterday. found that the ZAD_VT folder had the textures and managed to play around with renaming them to a zip but couldnt extract them this simply.
I know you mentioned its unreleased tools and stuff, but im also using blender to work in 3d personally, so idk how difficult or time consuming it would be to just have a zad_vt unpacker software kinda like the zad ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
the thing is, ever since the first release of carmageddon reincarnation ive been wanting to port maps for fun/learning experience. i love porting maps from other games, its been bugging me for so many years at this point that i cannot access these Virtual textures.
I know its time consuming and seeing how its already been years since ive waited for this, i can still wait, but id really love to see a tool to unpack all those textures one day.
Thank you for the contribution you are doing to the carmageddon community.
Its sad to see the game has died anyways but i bet the game would be even more non-existing without all of the amazing tools and content yall are doing for this game.
I'll try to put some time aside over the next couple of days to check over the current state of my VTF*cker code and see about writing up some instructions on how to extract the complete texture sets for you.
No rush tho, but i really deeply appreciate that you will try in the upcoming days.
i understand modding isnt a priority, just the fact that you will put some time aside for this im really greatful for this. thank you so much.
joke woke up lmaoo.
Thanks a ton for this! :)
