Hey everyone!

We are thrilled to bring you a brand-new game update alongside the Choices Matter Festival! We are also super excited to announce the release of our Official Digital Artbook!

New Feature Update (v.1.2.0-build.165)

We’ve just pushed a new update to the game that includes some much-requested quality-of-life improvements, new story content, and essential bug fixes to make your daily shifts smoother.

New Features & Improvements:

Customer Call Bell: You now have more control over the flow of your counter! Use the new call bell mechanic to bring in the next customer only when you are ready.
New Character Stories: Dive deeper into the world with brand-new story arcs for Hasan Mahmoud and Ilham Halal.
Coffee Effect: We've added a new coffee effect to the gameplay (because every desk worker needs their caffeine!).
Thermometer Highlight: The thermometer will now highlight when it first appears or when your character gets sick, making it much more noticeable.
Day Summary Indicators: Added a red dot indicator to the arrows in the Day Summary screen so you can easily spot when there is something new.
UI Audio: Added universal mouse click sound effects across the game for better feedback.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed a bug where the sleep button would become unresponsive after resuming on Day 1.
Fixed an issue where the player's balance would incorrectly change (deducting 10 Kerta) after resuming a day.

... I did in one run and the 6000 could be helpful in wanting to leave the company but uhggggg that cat is sooo cuteee. I feel bad for the guy but that cat is mineeee.

So I played the game for myself after reading some of the reviews that are - unfortunately - less than helpful. Honestly, I cannot understand the negativity.

Full disclosure; I have *not* played "papers, please" and I think “tellers duty” suffers unfairly by getting compared to it. To this end, I am not as biased as some of the reviews here.

I personally loved the game. It was nice and cozy, the addition of some real life characters was funny, though I think the dev could have ripped on them a bit more, if he is already including them in the game.

All in all, it's a slow, relaxing game that does not take itself too seriously. I have only played it in english so I cannot speak much to other translations, but I didn't notice any glaring errors. I loved the artstyle and the story. I think the ending might be take it or leave it for some people, but I personally didn’t have a problem with it. It just shows that our character is not this super influenced unstoppable force and sometimes life just goes that way.

I am at day 12 and after 4-5 customers they stop coming. I can not progress.

Patch Notes v.1.1.9-build.159 - Custom Framerate, AZERTY Support & Hotfixes!

We have a new update ready for your next shift. This patch brings some highly requested UI features, narrative balancing, and a batch of urgent hotfixes to ensure a smoother experience at the desk.

Here are the details for this update:

Adjustments & Additions

Added a custom framerate option in the Display Settings menu
Added support for AZERTY keyboard layouts along with proper UI adjustments
Added official mail notifications in the briefnotes whenever a salary increase or deduction occurs during phase transitions
Adjusted the trust score thresholds for Alfred and Theodore to make Alfred's ending easier to trigger
Removed the clearance letter requirement for ex-convicts in the later stages of the game, and added supporting info in briefnotes, newspapers, and attached documents
Added specific dialogue for the Teller when receiving an outdated clearance letter to inform players that the rule is no longer active
Adjusted Tonny Jeferson's event to better fit the narrative flow
Made the boundary fences during shooting sequences slightly transparent to improve target visibility
Extended the duration of the smoking effect
Shifted the draggable area for the bird money slightly upward to improve control handling

Fixes

Fixed an issue where the gamepad selection would disappear when returning to the Main Menu from the Game Over screen
Fixed a bug where the cursor disappeared after pressing specific keys during Sandra's shooting popup
Fixed a loading crash that occasionally occurred when players skipped cutscenes
Fixed an issue where the weapon reload UI failed to appear during a specific event
Fixed an exploit where the cat's trust level kept accumulating without resetting when repeatedly reloading a save file
Fixed an issue where the Neutral Ending could not be triggered under certain conditions
