Read this if Sculpting isn't working
Why Sculpting doesn't work:

If the Sculpting tool is not working on your system, it is because you either have Windows 7 which does not have a version of Direct X that is 11.1 or higher, or because you do not have enough video memory.

The technical reason (for those who are interested) is that Windows 7 only gives us access to 1 UAV within DirectX 11.1, and our compute shaders currently use between 2-6 (see references below). Win 8.1+ gives us access to 8-64 (depending on DX version) which is why it works fine on those platforms.

What you can do to get sculpting to work on your system:

The quickest solution for you to get it working on your computer would be to upgrade to Windows 8.1 or 10, and to ensure you have at least DirectX 11.1. We realize that this is not possible for every user for a variety of reasons, but if you are able to make that change you should be able to get it working on your computer. But you should also make sure you meet the minimum system requirements to run MasterpieceVR before changing your OS.

System Requirements:
Available OS: Win8.1+ x64
Processor: Intel i5
Memory: 8 GB
DirectX Version 11.1
Disk Space: 2 GB
Video Memory: 3 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA Maxwell (900 series) architecture or equivalent
Additional Notes: NVIDIA GeForce 1070 or above is recommended.

We are looking at options to make MasterpieceVR work on Windows 7, but this may not be possible. If there are any changes we will update the community.

If you are still experiencing issues:

1. Go to Start at Windows Desktop
2. Press Windows Key + r
3. Type 'dxdiag' without quotes and press Enter
4. Click 'Save All Information' and name the file SysInfo_'username'.txt, and save it to desktop
5. Send us this file at: support@masterpiecevr.com and we will try to figure it out

Thank you!

if this helps, I launched MVR a second time and it worked for a second, moved the resolution down and it stopped working.. then it never worked again even after system reboot regardless of voxel volume resolution. Any idea? Should we just refund until this is sorted ? I only want it for sculpting, and in the future editing existing models i have. Such a great idea /software, such a shame it does not sculpt on so many systems.

I can see my sculpting if I go to options --> Display. and move the camera model.

The angle I move that camera to is the angle I can then see sculted material at.. if I move my head to different angles I "sheer" away from the view angle of the camera and the sculted data gets clipped out of sight.

Hope this helps find the bug

pity the directX 11.1 or 12 on windows 7 should not work!?
Since I use blender, I thought the masterpiece could be a great complement prg. I do not let myself be blackmailed by microsoft, I do not like win 10. I think that if I can still use 100% masterpiece, there is a thumbs up from me.
Really silly directX 12 artificially blocked on win 7, or that you could not stay on directX 11.
