they gambled on battlerite battle royale being a hit, it was a bad gamble.

battlerite royale divided the community and the game was really UNBALANCED. The heroes were not intended to be in a battle royale especially in single player mode

I agree with that, the royal game i think should never have happened. But i never did like the royal games the few i tried, so my opinion was a little biased at the time - playing battlerite royal just reinforced those feelings, played a few times and uninstalled it...

But I love battlerite, glad they keep the servers running!

The community is very toxic and there were not a lot of new players. When you start playing the game quite soon you will be matched against some high skill player who would mock you as well. And that's why the game kinda started dying in my opinion. It was frustrated for new people to even start learning the game and very time consuming :(

everyone just plays the same boring op champions. they didn't balance it. that's why it died. this is so trash.

Ever think you are just trash at the game? There are PLENTY of games that aren't balanced..yet some of them are the most popular games. They did NOT promote the game whatsoever..that's how it died. They didn't even think to collab with a well known streamer to promote it.
