Usually things that impact your account forever need to be documented so the players know what they are doing.
If they don't want you to change names they should at least enable you to pick a name when you get the game. Not force you to go with the beta one since they didn't warn you that what you pick for beta will be permanent. Since most games nowadays allow you to change your name or juat usr your current steam name, we assumed it will be the same with this (again, because they did not tell us it will be permanent) and went random names for beta.
It feels like you defend the lack of a basic feature and/or the lack of documentation about the naming process. If your name will be permanent you should know about that, if the beta name will carry over to the full release and stick to you permanently, boy does it help knowing that. Period.
I'm sure if you had actually played betta and went through the naming process like "whatever, i just wanna play" and hit your name as "awedwqkeqekuawj" you would think otherwise. Maybe you got it right, but me and some others at least did not care for a beta test name....
Stop being irrelevant to the topic, however you look at it it's either lack of feature or lack of information.
You can keep your relentless defense up though, bumping this enough and maybe some dev will see this.
I would recommend they refresh the system of player names when they launch the F2P version so everyone can be a new player. Though keeping the stuff they have earned is necessary obviously.
I'd say clan tags would be nice as well, but obviously people put inappropriate crap when they are allowed to change their names/tags at will, so I will defend their choice thus far to not allow name changes. Keeps the scum out of the system if you will. Possibly a pay-2-namechange later.
TL:DR-
Name change on F2P launch, no changing it after.
Its so awesome that "Blodline" is getting a "revamp"! This is how BL should have been! Its everything i want right now! Just a fast pvp game! Lovely!
I am seriously asking.
Well for me it is, I have dyslexia and didn't noticed it for a couple of hours! And it's not just about misspelling it's for beta names as well. Hope you got your answer!
