Battlerite

Battlerite

Why did this game die in the first place?
Let's lay all of our cards down on why this great game "died"...

For me, most of the people/friends I recommended it to had one thing that they frequently complained about...the champion roster that was readily available for Free2Play players were, to say the least, underwhelming. Free2Play players had like 2 Melee, 2 Ranged, and 2 Support. People tried out all 6 champions available to them and when they grew tired on playing those, they just left.

What I proposed then was have all current champions (leading up to Zander) available to everyone and lock up any future champion/s behind a paywall (or gold purchase).

simple a game like this should not have locked heroes, that concept might have worked in the past but with so many competitions and well established games out there i just dont see it working out.

And when we were promised new content, it turned out to be a new game that needs to be paid again.

Battlerite Royale killed it, the devs tried to go for the new popular game mode that made other games work and wasted a lot of resources on it. Is not like they came out with a bad game overall, but battlerite royale had his issues and was fun but wasn't something that you would play for a long time. Another part of the problem was that you had to pay for it so some people didn't even try it and then they made it free but at that point the amount of players was too small so the matchmaking was long af.

From how i see it the devs killed the game by trying to go into that route, Battlerite was doing pretty well at that moment and all they needed to do was add more champions more arenas and they could have added more funny game modes like the Bakko egg brawl, the cosmetic part was already going well, make the replay and clip uploading thing better.... and more.

Like legit i'm pretty sure they had a hidden gem on their hands but they didn't know how to make it shine, the gameplay being so skill based makes the game really amazing and really fun when you get good at it fighting other people that is also good at it, at the same time that's other part that made some players quit, at some point the game just had the old players that already knew the game mechanics so well and since you can dodge or avoid pretty much anything on this game you can 1v3 a team that has new players really easy and for some people than can be frustrating instead of motivate them to "git gud".

In the end is just sad to see it die like this, the game was and still is really fun i had a lot of fun playing it and i really hope the devs take a look at it after they get their new game going, apparently is going to have a pretty similar combat system so you can look forward to it

It might have taken off if it were easier to pick up and didn't have a stupid camera angle, but unfortunately, it had to compete with a lot of objectively better games with characters that you can pick up really easily. 4-5 really good spells beats whatever these idiots were trying to pull off

That's not a issue though is not hard to pick up how a character works on this game, the thing that can be tricky is picking the skill upgrades for it but most of it just depends on playstyle if you're more agressive you take increased dmg or more dmg on some things, you can grab more cc or survability as well, that aspect is also pretty easy to pick up.

The part that can be tricky is doing some animation cancels or using your skills properly, but that part just goes on getting used to the game itself since you can miss everything.
it's because they ripped off people who went all in for Bloodline Champions and players were upset when they made this instead of supporting Bloodline and were greedy so it became dead from the beginning.

Dear Developers out there,

Don't abandon your game while giving up on the first one that was really popular for money. It failed like I said it would.

The death of Battlerite was because of the dev's them selves, the game had a stable player base that were thrown to the side to follow a trend in the gaming market.

They have abandoned 4 games already, is nothing new for them.

Probably multiple things but for me it was the slow updates to the game.

Majority of players and mods are retarded beyond retarded and deserve it.

I had today a blast, so I don't get a point of game being death.
Queues ~ upto 2min.
I even had leaver in my team and in opposite team player decided to allow for 1v1 :D

If you at least understand concept of being patient it doesn't seem to be dead.

Game died because they introduced a separate standalone battle royale in a time where fortnite, pubg and call of duty were already thriving not to mention like 3 other royale games. The new battlerite royale split the player base all against the wishes of the player base while never adding any new content to battlerite outside of seasonal patches that had nothing to do with gameplay. The biggest reason is they never listened to the player base that is basically die hard to this game. IT was a no brainer cash cow audience and they still managed to ♥♥♥♥ that up. Takes a certain level of incompetence.
