Battlerite

This is the most skilled based moba
I have played dota 2 for tons of hours (check my profile) , lol , hots and also dota 1 back in the days when guinsoo from lol was in the team, and this is the best skill based moba up to this date, dota 2 and lol are item based where 1 hero with proper items can kill of an entire team wothout too much effort, but here you actually need to know when to counter when to switch targets when to back off , to anticilate and read the enemy on when they might counter when their space is up etc etc i can go on and on but you get the point

Yea it’s definitely much more balanced and skill reliant than LoL or DOTA, no game is without its issues tho.

I don't get it, can you buy some overpowered gun that makes you win? Last time i checked every hero is avalible with ingame currency and there are no op heroes, every hero has it weakness , and every hero can be killed once his counter and space are down, but you probably say that to every thread you are on

While I objectively agree, the game will never have a skill ceiling anywhere as close to other MOBAs.
Is it necessarily a bad thing? Not really. The game is more welcoming to new players, and is easier to balance properly.
I'm just concerned about how attracting this game will be to players in the long run.

I disagree, I think it’s skill ceiling is already well above other mobas. Other ones are so simplistic, using 3 abilities with the occasional fourth and if league then maybe summoner spells. All objectives are so slow it isn’t really difficult, you’re just pantsing around waiting for someone to make a large mistake. Battlerite is constant engagement that needs high focus, a lot more things going on.

The game is not welcoming to new players AT ALL. And that is why it is not attractive. There's nothing you can excuse yourself for your own mistake. It is your fault and everyone knows. And "bad" players don't like that. They can't blame something else but them.

Sadly this is true, i had a few friends coming over from hots and dota 2 and they sucked so hard they never touched tthis game, i tought since they are good in dota and hots they will actually be good at this but i kust realized that they are only good at last hitting mobs getting the items and mouse 2 click and job done

It's not "classic" moba, and the false expectations are the main problem. Cmon, WASD in moba? No autoattack? No creeps, towers, stuff to buy. Moba-players call it "shallow gameplay", got beaten and leave. :D

As a smite player I had my ass handed to me. I was just to use to building and stuff the battlerite thing threw me off. Then I got good ;)

im also a dota veteran.

i prefer battlerite because it takes out the farming phase and building items found in dota and other mobas. I grew to just not care about farming for 20-30 minutes. only for the last 5-10minutes of a dota game or LoL game to determine the 50-60 minute game.

Battlerite completely skips the laning and early game and goes right into teamfights. the best part about any Moba. Battlerite is my number one moba-like probably for a long time. games last 10-15 minutes and immediately gets into the teamfights. no longer will i have to waste time farming, laning, items, etc.

Dota long time player here
Battlerite is indeed fascinating. I started playing it two weeks ago and didnt stopped. I'm playing it more than any game here and looks like it will remain in this way for a long time.
The only bad side of this game is the absence of a Linux port which would be perfect. However, the game is in its beggining and I hope devs will hear our community.

Scientifically proven: game is not a moba:
