Battlerite
Why did this game die so quickly?
It seems like just yesterday when this game had 25k+ actives online at a given time, now we're lucky to even reach 5k. Why did this happen to battlerite, Now all i see is worn out faces. all around me, in familiar places.

sls thinks pushing out an unfinished gamemode into an unfinished game will save it
Funny joke. The dead game memes were old a long time ago, mate.

unbalanced characters like sirius , freya , and the cancer destiny is one thing that makes me stop playing
but i believe it died because they taked TOO LONG to release the free to play that makes the game die
It's too skill demanding, you need to be always playing it to stay competitve even easiest characters reqiure a lot of work (I know this is whole point of the game but it's also why it's losing it's players). And the players who are serious about this always toxic to the others.

Game is non-stop action so it's stressfull too - A lot of multiplayer games have some downtime when nothing really happens like farming lanes, waiting in ambush or holding chokepoint. I think it's a great game but It's just hard to play for a long period of time.

I'm not whining, I'm just trying to point on some of the reasons for the dwindling playerbase.

Why do you think they didn't rush out Automated Tournaments and went for the new game mode instead? They are aware that it might make a few of the hardcore fans happy, but will do as much for the player base as Season 1 and Drafting did. The game needs different game mode for the casuals.

New and exciting game mode is Battlerites only chance to grow. They have to change things up. Just tweaking and improving the core gameplay isn't going to do much anymore, despite what any hardcore fan or BLC vet will tell you.

That is why I will defend the new Battle Royal mode. This is a positive step in the right direction. It shows that SLS isn't just going to sit on their hands wondering why.

Haven't you read my comment at all ? In which kind of parallel world are you living ? How did the drafting system and the new season increase the amount of players ? We literally have the same playerbase now as we had before the release of the drafting system.
I guess trolls like you want to believe whatever they want since you refuse to look at the statistics at all.

Battle Royal Mode will completely fail simply because there is no more market for this kind of genre - even tho I personally think it's nothing that innovative. It is already occupied atm by PUBG/Fortnite. Only because there is this new hype doesn't mean it will work for BR.

What is the marketing strategy behind that ? I mean, what kind of masterminds are working for SLS, thinking that people will install Battlerite in order to play some PUBG clone.

It's like having a Super Mario mod for Starcraft. Telling people to buy/install Starcraft in order to play Mario. What kind of marketing strategy is this nonsense.
Who would play a much worse copy of a game ? Right, probably noone or even less than noone.

This will do even more harm to BR since it will lead to a spike in the player amount - cuz hype lul - followed by a deep feeling of disappointment and will end up in suicidal resignation.

I agree with you, but...

THey are not trying to grasp pubgs or fortnite players, that wont happen

They are out of ideas of how to make this game works and how to keep people playing it. They are chasing lootboxes and asian market for quick profit and the battle royale is a dumb attempt to grasp players for other mobas , LOL, Dota, kids that wanna try something "new" in the summer.

PLus that gaves them free coverage in gaming sites for how moronic the whole concept its gonna be

Now like you said its gonna fail, people are gonna play it for a couple of days and ignore it in a week or two it's gonna be the same 4k/5k players. They keep repeating the same stupid decisions since the "ea" release, hence why this game will remain in the bottom of the list = stunlock is probably the dumbest developer around every event- lack of direction confirms why their games die so easy.
Personally, I feel it's becasue Battlerite has an amazing combat system. It's unique enough in that aspect, but that's pretty much what this game is: a combat system. Now I don't know if major changes happened to gameplay because I haven't played in a while, but this game needs more game modes or objectives than just "♥♥♥♥ each other up in an arena and kill a sphere every once in a while". It has a good base that desperately needs to be expanded upon.

End of the season, so most people who play league only aren't playing. Well that and it's not fun for everyone.
Why can't we just istantly close and delete these useless threads, they serve no purpose and aren't informal.

The game isn't dead. Hawken is dead, Global Agenda is dead. The definition of a game being "dead" isn't as loose as you threadstartes make it out to be.

They are very informative. While the game isn't dead, the stats are clear that the game isn't succeeding either.

If we introduce more gamemodes. Have fun with longer queue times. Unless they can find a way to increase playercount permantly while adding useful features (coughcoughvoicechat) this game is another fail.

Wish this thread was about introducing ideas to help SLS, instead of people saying this game isn't dying, and sucking off this dying game and a failing company. Again not dead, but dying.

Why is Battlerite unpopular?

case closed.

I can second this: I completed the tutorials, then played a total of 3 online games before I realised I didn't actually enjoy the game at all. The problem is that you have to memorise EVERY ability of EVERY hero to have a chance against them, especially with the frankly absurd number of counter and reflection abilities you have to watch out for. You have to know what every ability does and be able to recognise it by its animations or particle effects, and that's BEFORE you factor in what kind of perks the opponents have taken to modify them (which you can't know). I found it overwhelming.

Now I COULD have put in the hard grind and made a serious effort to actually memorise every ability of every hero (I did it for LoL), but here's the thing: I didn't want to. The game wasn't actually very fun. I never really knew what I should be doing except healing my teammates whenever they got hit (wish someone could have told them that so they'd stop running away from me and dying on their own) and throwing skills at whatever enemy is closest (and going for the orb whenever it spawns). It just wasn't enjoyable.
