What is average rank for 1st ever placements?

I am wondering whats normal for new players to get ranked in their first placements. I got placed in Gold 5, is that good?

started with gold 3, I guess. It doesn't matter though, you'll rank up or derank pretty fast if the system was wrong about you

started gold 5, dropped to silver 1. now settling in gold 4. I feel like i'm terrible. And the only way i've stayed in gold 4 is by playing sirius only haha. i'm so terrible at this gmae.

Gold is normal, i started g5 first season, then plat 2nd, diamond twice, and now champ
In any moba, the rank will just rise up every season, you won't notice but you keep being better and better, unless you play once per week

I would assume anywhere from between Silver 2-3 to Gold 1. Depending how well you do in your placement matches you might aswell end up in Platinium.

I got plat 5 after mine so idk maybe gold is average

considering the general lvl of players, silver ~3 should be around average

If you are under gold your not good at the game gold you ok plat is we're people start being good and up from there is your are good at the game

I got Platinum 5, I must say however.
I just "clicked" with Oldur and end up as MVP or close to MVP most of the times.
4 - 2 on placement matches. 320~ games total on account.

I have played with Platinum 1's and a Diamond 5 in my last 2 placement matches and the difference in skill is quite noticable. It feels like the game is running 2x speed at that point.

Imo Gold 5 is a good average without looking at statistics and rank population.

ive been rising in rank so i think im good with this rank (if anyoneis a oldur or zander main hmu if u in gold)
