Poloma: pressure her till she used her escape skills (poncho and Other Side) and try to corner her with bodyblocking to her allies - Poloma really lacks self heal if she cannot target her allies. Try not to get hit by her Fear it's a Spellblock you only get feared if you used an skill at this moment. I know it really depends also on your teammates and its easier to focus her on 2vs2 as 3vs3.
Pearl: Didn't played pearl for long so avoid her counter (watch her first battlerite she gains another stack of her silence loaded staff when you hit her counter). remember Pearl has healing stacks unlike poloma she cant keep up a constant hps she is more a burst healer so tragetting her until she is out of healing stacks should help too. But maybe a real pearl main has some more insight for you sorry.
Which champions you like to play most?
Maybe you try Poloma and Pearl in Playground and try skills in order to see which skill you should avoid?
Other Side if you want add me ingame we can do some 1vs1
It's hard to give you advice without knowing what characters you're having trouble using against them, but in the case of Pearl: Don't hit counters, instead try to bait them out by fake casting M1s or whatever. (You can fake cast M1 as melee too, which many new players forget.) Wait until she uses her space and punish her. Don't get too desperate for killing her, instead switch targets when you see fit. For example; if she puts up a bubble between you and herself, just switch targets briefly while the bubble is up, then switch back if necessary.
Against Poloma: Remember she has almost no self-heals, her best self-heals require energy, (Ex space, Ex Q and her Ultimate. Poloma has very few tools to get her away from people putting pressure on her, in many cases she'll be forced to use her M2 (Other Side), which has long cooldown. Once she has used it, try to punish, if you're a melee, be wary of her Q. Bad Polomas will use Q as soon as you get close to them. So just don't press any button and you'll be fine. Another thing many "bad" Polomas do, is using their space on an enemy and immediately using Q hoping that you will press a button. If you don't press a button they have wasted 2 of their best "escapes".
Edit: Another thing worth mentioning is that Poloma has no reason whatsoever to get close to her opponents other than using her Q. So if you see Poloma running towards you, be ready to not press a button. It's very easy to see it coming. I find most Polomas really easy to read, even in Champion/Grand Champion.
Actually, Pearl is way more OP than Poloma.
