3 stars levels? How does it work?

I still can't figure out how to get 3 stars in each level. Yes, the more money the more stars, but usually I don't miss a guest and the money bar is completely full (sometimes even before the last guest appears), but I still get only 2 stars. So how does it work?

are you giving out donuts? i have found that that can help too. i have an obsession with getting 3 stars on like every level. it's hard at time though. and the donuts can definitely help.

Sure I can give out donuts, but they cost gems. The problem for me is that I can't see when the 3 stars are reached while playing a level.

it should be right at the top when you finish the level if that's what you mean, and everytime you get 3 stars you get a gem. it's worth it if you are playing for scores.

To get 3 stars, you have to exceed certain % of the initial money goal of each particular level.
