Really confused - Farewell level structured different than walkthrough

So, I'm at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyOapJgLcEI&t=1199s (this isn't me, it's a walkthrough I looked up after getting frustrated)

...And instead of that solid green landing, below the starting area? It's a square collapsing block that falls when you land on it. What is going on? I've got the game updated to the latest, I'm not hacking or anything like that, and I don't see anyone else talking about this difference.

I have nowhere to jump back to, and I'm so confused.

Game was changed a lot since 2018, so early videos are not reflect current levels' condition. That room was changed specifically so that you can't get back to the landing, you're supposed to wavedash from it and go forward.
