Stuck on opening screen

Upon starting the game, the little bit of credits go by, and the 'auto save don't turn off if this symbol' appears, then it has the screen with the mountain and the title Celeste under it, with snow flurrying by and music, but that's it, it just stays on that screen, and no button on my key-board or mouse will do anything, and Iv even just let it sit on that screen for a while to see it that works, Tried a few other things like alt tabbing, and restarting it. Anyone know what the deal is?

I've never encountered this before. The "Confirm" key to progress on keyboard is C or Enter, do neither of those work? (they should also be displayed)

Mine does a similar thing. On the very same screen, it acts as though someone is scrolling impossibly fast up and down with a controller.

Tried plugging out all possible inputs and restarting the game several times and the problem lasts. I think the screen informing us that progress is saved may be the problem.
or perhapse the quit and save feature.

Hey! Could you see if Steam Controller settings has anything weird turned on, or perhaps any other external controller settings? I've heard of a few users post similar problems but I'm not sure how Celeste itself could be causing this problem. Will look into it a bit more.

Hey, I have the exact same problem, no controllers plugged in or anything. Just my mouse and i'm playing on a laptop...
I don't know what to do, I think I will ask for a refund. :(

Have you tried:
1) restarting your PC
2) make sure controller settings are turned off in your Steam Settings
3) try the "opengl" branch if nothing else works (right click Celeste in Steam -> Properties -> Betas -> select "opengl" from the dropdown)

Hey again!
I don't know what worked exactly, i just rebooted everything, steam, the game, my computer.
Didn't work.
Then i launched the game again, pressed C when i got to the "CELESTE" screen and it magically worked this time !

Same issue, I switched to opengl, restarted my PC, updated my graphics drivers and re installed Celeste a few times, nothing seems to be working.

I have a GTX 1080 and an intel i7 7700k if that helps debug anything.

On the screen it tells you what to press on the bottom-right, first time i booted the game i thought it was i copyright sign though

I just bought the game and had this issue, I had to press C to progress although there was no indication on screen
