issues with xbox 360 controller in windowed mode
when playing in windowed mode, frequently the right trigger will cause me to tab out of the window. Ive also experienced controls becomming completely unresponsive, and having to tab in and out to reenable the gamepad.

Does not seem to happen in full screen

This sounds like Steam Input is running its desktop configuration. Does the same behavior happen to non-game windows (web browsers, etc.)?

Not at all, ive never had this issue before in any other games, and I play all my steam games in windowed mode as Ive various IMs im keeping track of.

In Dead Cells windowed mode the gamepad works perfectly and without any issues.

The issues in Celeste only happens in windowed mode, not fullscreen.

Strange - for reference we don’t have any logic to modify the window when controller input is sent, so another application would have to bind controller input to perform window actions. Steam Input is usually the problem but for that to happen you would have to get input focused outside the game window first, which wouldn’t happen in fullscreen but could in windowed mode. A possible test would be to run the ‘opengl’ test branch and see if it happens there too; the window handling code there is totally different so if it still happens, someone is messing with us.

Whatever’s going on, somebody _really_ wants to take input focus away from us, but I don’t know who.

Tried it again today, so far its been behaving in windowed mode, strangely enough. Played as expected and enjoying it so far, completed first chapter with 15/20 strawberries. As you said, it mightve been some app interfering, but I do not run other games simultaneously. So I am puzzled to whatever it mightve been.

Question: any way of remapping a gamepad? Mainly looking to try putting the wallgrab button in a more conivient place.

Weird! Let me know if it shows up again and try that 'opengl' branch to see if it doesn't make it go away for good.

At the moment there isn't controller config, but let me ask the dev team if they're working on this - it's been a really common question since day 1 so I wouldn't be surprised if it was in progress (I just do Linux/macOS support typically, so I try not to break gameplay/frontend stuff myself...)
