I think the reason is that english.fnt and english_0.png are missing, but they are not installed. It was not possible to find these files separately. I will be grateful for your help

P.S. Solution:
I found a solution to the problem by installing the latest beta version of the game(1.3.3.0). Any beta version of the game works as it should.

I have the exact same files as you do, but no english.fnt or english_0.png files.
However, i don't have that issue, so i don't think the lack of those files is the problem.

Have you tried updating/reinstalling your drivers?

I tried reinstalling the drivers and it didn't help.
I pressed "C" and entered the main menu. It looked like this(1). After that, I found the settings(2) and changed the language to one of those located in the Fonts folder(3). The text appeared, but the keybinds were still missing(4).

On which OS are you playing?
If you're playing on windows, is Celeste installed on your C: drive, or another drive? If it's on another drive, have you tried installing it on the C: drive?

Windows. I only have one drive. The game is installed on C: drive.

Do you have anything that could be messing with the game somehow, like some antivirus or something that affects the graphics of your computer, maybe specifically for games?

Someone in a completely different game's forums has had an issue where their entire game screen went black. They eventually found this to be their solution :

But I found a solution to the problem by installing the latest beta version of the game(1.3.3.0). Any beta version of the game works as it should.

Congratulations on solving your issue! Sorry i didn't suggest betas.
The most up-to-date beta version of the game is the "opengl - opengl" one, as others are a few versions back, but i don't think there is anything major missing from the 1.3.3.0 version.
