I cant change celest keybinds

When i try to change keybinds it does not let me the only buttons it lets me set things as is ctl, alt, and caps lock everything else wont work?

Other common solutions to issue with Celeste :
-Have you tried restarting Steam/your computer?
-Have you tried verifying the integrity of game files? (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files)
-Not sure why it would help, but have you tried switching to the OpenGL beta branch? (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Betas)

Lastly, you could try to change the keybinds manually by editing the settings file, named "settings.celeste" in the Saves folder, located at :

Linux filepath : home/.local/share/Celeste/
Filepath for... Mac? : ~/Library/Application Support/Celeste/
Windows filepath : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Celeste\

(You might need to temporarily deactivate Steam Cloud to prevent it from overwriting your changes.)

For example, to edit the keybind for the "down" key, you would need to find this part :

  <down>
    <Keyboard>

and add/edit the following line (with your own keybind) directly below (note that you can have multiple keybinds for the same action) :

      <Keys>S</Keys>
