Ch5 completely dark after first mirror on steam deck
After the first mirror cutscene, the lights stop working and I can't progress on my Steam Deck.

Which mirror cutscene? Some parts of Chapter five are meant to be mostly dark, but not completely. There should always at least be some light around Madeline.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of game files? (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files)

If you use Proton (it might be the default on Steam Deck, i'm not sure), try disabling it. (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Compatibility)

Have you tried changing the brightness settings?

The first part when you see Theo trapped in a mirror, where he says he fell asleep and woke up inside it. Right after that it gets really really dark, to the point where I can't see any of the platforms.
According to another post from Noel, this is a known issue with some graphics drivers, but Steam Deck doesn't have the option to use OpenGL as far as i can see so their solution doesn't work.
I'll try verifying the game files and just disabling proton entirely and check back with you all.

The only thing the Steam Deck might potentially not have is support for OpenGL, but i think you should still be able to at least try to use the OpenGL beta. (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Betas)

I swapped compatibility mode to just that 1.0 steam one, and was able to play through the rest of the level fine. Seems like proton just doesn't like Celeste for whatever reason.
