Launch celeste in a different resolution

Hi, so i'm currently trying to beat chapter 7c but i can't since the crystal spinners generate so much lag that make the game almost unplayable, so i was thinking of playing the game in a different resolution (avoiding 640x480 because you can barely read text), if you know how to launch the game in a different resolution please tell me.

If you mean the game's render resolution, there's no way to do that that I'm aware of. The game renders at a constant 320x180 regardless of window size (which I don't think really affects performance), and changing that would likely require some pretty heavy modifications to the game. Usually the game performs pretty well even on weaker hardware though, what are your specs?

i just need to modify the fullscreen resolution kinda like how checking the "run in 640x480" option in the compatibility tab, i want to avoid using that resolution since it makes reading text a little bit hard and messes up the graphics, i wanted to try a 1280x720 or 800x600

Intel Core i3 350M 2.27GHz
6GB RAM
GPU: Intel HD Graphics

If you don't need it to be in fullscreen, using the in game window scale at 3x will be 960x540, and 4x will be 1280x720. The text seems readable enough for both of these.
Also I haven't tested it, but you might be able to use something like sizer[www.brianapps.net] to make the window bigger without changing the actual game resolution. At worst you could try turning the resolution of your monitor itself down. Like I said before though, I don't think that doing this will really improve performance. The CPU you gave there is itself probably fine, but its iGPU is pretty weak from what I could find. I don't know if there's much you can do with the game itself to improve it, but you could at least try reinstalling drivers for it (at https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15568/intel-graphics-media-accelerator-driver-for-windows-7-windows-vista-64-bit-zip.html ).

i tested with 640x480 resolution and the performance are significantly improved, but the graphics are a little bit messed up

With 640x480 the game doesn't fit the entire screen, the game is in the middle of the screen with black borders
