Everest takes ages to load. Is that normal?
Just installed it to play some mods and it takes like a full minute or more to launch the game through the app. I don't know if it's buggy on my end or if that's just the way it's supposed to function.

I'm on Windows. Celeste launches pretty quickly through Steam, it's just Everest that takes really long.

you could try to turn off "update mods on launch" in the mod menu within celeste if thats on. took considerably longer to boot up when i had it on. just be sure to update the mods every so often for bug fixes and whatnot.

Now that i think about it, Celeste doesn't actually take a full minute to launch for me, but it does take longer than it did before Everest.

That's not on for me. When i do update mods and restart, it takes a few minutes to actually restart. Because of that i started updating mods at the end of play sessions, then instead of restarting, i use alt + f4. I do wonder why the restart option is the only option available after updating mods.

For updating mods I would guess that they need to reload them again by restating Celeste. Also Everest has always taken about a minute to load for me (I use mac)

I meant that i wondered why there's just a "restart" option but no "quit" option.

I have this same issue, launching the game, I see the title for a while. Yet, i have no mods installed.

It didn't used to take this long to start up.

That makes more sense. Honestly I have no clue either and I wish that was how it worked.
