Platformer recommendations.
I swear i haven't played a single interesting precision platformer in the entire year, except Will You Snail, so i really want to know if any other platformer enthusiast like me knows about some hidden gem that got released recently.

I'm not too sure if it's a percision platformer, or you're okay with 3D platformers, but I just played through "Demon Turf" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe consider giving that a go?

Already played it, i love all kind of platformers including 3D collectathons like that one, but im looking for precision platformers kinda like Celeste.

I think its pretty obvious why im saying this in the Celeste forums, because its the more mainstream precision platformer ever perhaps?

If you have a playstation 3 or PSP there's a game called "Monsters (Probably) stole my princess" That is small but very fun.

You basically jump up platforms while hitting a monster, and gain combo by hitting platforms. If you land on the same platform twice you lose your combo. Perfect scoring levels is very fun.

I only put this here because when i saw this title it instantly came to mind. Just found out the company behind that game (Mediatonic) went on to do Fall Guys.

It's an old game that you've probably already heard of/played, but have you tried dustforce?

find your way to the hardcore mario community.
there are zero limits to everything imaginable.
mario maker is just an introduction as to what already exists.

gl if you're staying on steam, games that come here, come here generally to make money.
think of how many negative reviews this game would have if it didn't have "assist-mode". it wouldn't have sold nearly as many copies if people couldn't cheat to win.

often developers and hardcore gamers, both do not want to see the ability to cheat. so the "great compromise" is made to make it accessible to "all" of the audience it plans to reach.
it gets easier and makes more money.

Hargrave is a free game that has quick-respawn mechanics similar to Celeste/Super Meat Boy.
There's also MagiCat, which is from 2017 and more of a traditional platformer, though the later levels can get pretty hard and require lots of precision. There are boss battles in every level, and the game keeps track of how many you've beaten without taking damage.
Levelhead is another good choice; it's a level-making game similar to Mario Maker but with less floaty gameplay, quick respawning and a focus on different types of switches, allowing the user to create complex contraptions with ease.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I'm not a big fan of precision platformers so I'm not up to date on recent ones but have you play some of Maddy's earlier games like the Jumper series?

5-50 hour.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1548940/RUN_The_world_inbetween/
2-10 hour.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2148320/Super_Galaxy_Ball/
1-3 hour.

Also, why not just play modded Celeste and get like thousands of quality custom levels some even with brand new feature/mechanic.

you should try 12 bananas. i've been playing it a lot for the past few days. very atmospheric, great worldbuilding and personality, and unconventional but fun controls. plus it's free!
