Once I figured that, it became suprisingly easy. I was wasting all my focus on positioning before, with mixed results, often banging my head to the bottom of the wall since I was trying to get perfect close to it. Timing is all that matters!
For timing, you want to jump right around the time you hear and see the thunderbolt animation that signals his charge. Pointing to an exact frame is hard since it's mostly by feel, but with the approach above you should have a chance to practice a bit without having to restart the room. It's definitely tough to get the timing down, but once you find it it'll be another of those Wow tricks you can do in the game to impress people without really thinking too hard about it. As a bonus, practice here makes grabbing that one strawberry in 3A a lot easier, too.
Also @Damos, I'm pretty sure OP is talking about the Oshiro bops, not wall-dashes, though that's definitely good advice for those.
Oops, yeah you're right, I got 2nd and 3rd screen mixed up!
I don't know a trick for the 2nd jump and for me it's the single most difficult move in the game. I used assist mode's invincibility and 50% speed to experiment with timings. The way that has the biggest window for me is to jump and then dash right at the bop height.
I know this convo is 6 years old but I'm bumping it for anyone else like me who desires tips on 3C
just turn the assist on, enable infinite dashes, complete the level as usual (fair way), and when the time comes, just dash your way forward to the heart
