In-game map hints about blue hearts locations?

So I beat the game some days ago, and today I found all the strawberries except the core ones (I still havent played core). What really helped me was the in-game "map" when you press pause. You can see which strawberries you missed and in which order, and this made it easier to just look more carefully for any hidden areas on those portions of levels.

But I havent seen any hints about the blue hearts. They can be at the start of a chapter, at the end, in the middle, basically anywhere. You just got to keep a keen eye looking for anything that catches your eye. Still, maybe I'm missing something and there is a way to help you find them. Maybe a particular sound?

I'm not asking for their locations. I can easily check that on google/youtube, so for the smarta$$es posting a link to a guide or video please just ... dont.

There is no generic way for a level to hint at heart locations. Basically hearts are meant to be the most secret/hidden collectibles in the A-sides. Some specific levels do have hints for their heart, such as showing you where it is (but not how to get there) or other clues, but yeah other than that you'll just have to carefully search the level (or look it up).
