To complete in straight line from 1-A to 7-A might take 6-8h, Doing all B-sides will take more 20-30h because of the spike in difficulty. C-sides are short but really demanding, could take you a couple more hours or tens of hours depending on your skill. Finally, the new chapter is 10 times harder and requires 5-10h.
If you're still not satisfied, there is Golden Strawberries which are deathless every level which takes a huge amount of time and practice. I'm myself at 90h of gameplay right now, 194/202 strawberries collected
Chapter 9 is the longest and hardest chapter in the game with more story, crazy new mechanics, and much more use of tech taught in other chapters. I’ve been playing it for about nine hours and I’m only halfway there, but that’s probably just because I’m terrible.
Beating every single level might take a bit over 30 to 40 hours? Probably more.
There are also hidden collectables called “Strawberries” (175 of them) and a number of them can be found in each level. Some of them are hidden behind obscure secrets while others force you to do an extra challenge. If you collect all of these as well as beat every level, you’ve essentially unlocked 100%.
Getting these strawberries on their own without any guidance will take around 10 hours to find everything, but with guidance maybe 4.
However, there is higher than 100%. A 114% category. You see, after you unlock the C-Sides, new Golden Strawberries unlock at the beginning of each level. There are 25 of them in the base game (DLC excluded right now) (1 for each chapter = 24 + 1 for beating Chapter 1 without using the mechanic of dashing) that require you to beat the whole level without dying once. Needless to say, this is painful. And if you were to do this, and easy 50-70 hours or maybe much would be your game time.
DLC has a secret “Moon Berry” which doesn’t take long to find but I’d thought I’d mention it.
There is also a pretty much impossible 115%. 202 strawberries are required. 200 of the strawberries from the base game, the Moon Berry, and the Golden Strawberry in Chapter 9. That Golden Strawberry requires you to - at the very least - not get hit for over an hour of the hardest things in this game. That could bring you to a straight up 100 or more hours at the end.
This game also has replay value for reasons I don’t want to spoil because they are better for you to experience yourself.
The main story (climbing the mountain) is Chapters 1 to 7, with Chapter 8 being an additional epilogue.
Personally, I took 21 hours for completing all Chapters, B and C-Sides and collecting every regular strawberry.
