How much extra content is there?

So, from what I can gather, there seems to be a chapter 8 which you can only unlock by obtaining all the blue hearts, which unlock a bunch of red hearts (I don't know what the red hearts do). Then there's all the b-sides you can beat, which unlocks all the c-sides, which...how far does this go?

you only need 4 blue hearts iirc, and you get red hearts from beating B-sides, to unlock C-sides, which you get golden hearts from, you need to beat all the B-sides.

As he said. Every level has an A, B, and C side. The A side is the main story, and has exploration and collectibles. A collectible in each level unlocks the B side for that level. A sides also each include a heart to find and collect besides the strawberries and tape listed in the menu. B sides have no exploration, and are simply harder trial versions of the levels, with a heart at the end. C sides unlock by beating all B sides, and are even harder versions of B sides, again with only a heart at the end. All sides of level 8 requires hearts to enter, requiring more for each successive level. After beating all B sides you also unlock Golden Strawberries, which ask you to complete an entire level without dying, which isn't "new" content but could extend your playtime if you wanted.
