Impossible Strawberry in Chapter 4 (Golden Ridge), Part 3?

Hey, I've recently went back into Celeste to collect the strawberries that I missed in my first playthrough, and I came across this one at the beginning of chapter 4, part 3. (Golden Ridge, Old Trail)

I have absolutely no clue how to get the strawberry and land on safe ground with it. I googled some walkthroughs, but the ones I found do not have the spikes on the left of the stone pillar, and they just land there.

Jump to the pillar on the left. Once you get to the upper part above the spikes, jump without grabbing and without pressing a direction (a neutral jump, the wind helps you stay against the wall) until you're just above the berry, then dash right into it. You should be able to make it back to grab the starting platform if you hold right. The neutral jumps conserve your stamina so you can make it back and climb up.

I got it by climbing up the wall above the entrance; jump without pressing a direction to get to the upper bit. Then jump away from the wall holding left to grab the strawberry, and dash to the right to get back

I tried smeredith's suggestion first, and it worked for me. Yours worked just as well, though! I'm marking smeredith's comment as the answer though, simply because it was the first that worked. :)
