Is there supposed to be some kind of meaning to the ending of chapter 8?
Honestly I don't really get what the final segment is supposed to be. I've searched around a bit online and haven't found anything that talks about it.

Chapter 8 is mainly just a bonus chapter the story bassically finishes at chapter 7.

Ultimately, it's about Madeline finding her inner peace. The mountain is a place of healing - it confronts you with your problems and guides you to a solution. Having returned a year after her original trip, she went deeper still into the mountain... and found just peace and quiet. No more struggles to overcome. She had healed, and it had nothing more to show her.

she's had such an attatchment to the mountain because of how it helped her mentally heal and gave her a sense of accomplishment so I think it's just her achieving euphoria.

Isn't that what chapter 8 is about?
