Chapter 1 flashing colors on screen secret?

There's this hidden passage to what seems to be a secret but I can't figure out what it does or how to do it, i'm talking about this screen that has flashing colors and those birds near it.

I'm trying to figure this out too. I tried pushing coresponding colors on my controller. But that did nothing for me.

This puzzle is sort of like some of the puzzles in Fez if you've ever played that.

Hint 1: Watch what the birds do after every cycle. Remind you of anything?

Hint 2: See how the bird colors match the colors on the screen?

Solution: The birds show which color is associated with which dash direction. Dash in the directions in order of the color sequence on the screen

Thanks for the reply I ended up looking for the answer elsewhere and I don't think I ever would've gotten it. :)
