Steam Controller Not Working

I am having trouble getting my Steam Controller to function while playing the game. In the menu, the only button that appears to work is the A button, and while in game only the left thumbstick does anything. Is there any way to fix this?

The default version on Windows only natively supports 360 controllers. I know you can enable DS4 in the Steam controller settings, so maybe it has an option for Steam Controller as well? Otherwise you can switch to the "OpenGL" beta which has more built in support (Right click Celeste in Steam -> Properties -> Betas -> Select "opengl" from the dropdown).
