I might get the 1UP for that final achievement but thats it for me sadly. I hope the level editor will end up happening cus that sounds spicy
2B is super fun to speedrun for the golden strawberry, between the dream blocks and the way the levels connect together, you can keep nice flow for the entire run. Also, I recommend trying the dashless challenge for chapter 1 that gives a secret 200th strawberry. It's incredibly hard but also proportionally satisfying cuz it forces you to think out of the box and even learn new moves like neutral wall jump/climbing that you never use elsewhere in the game!
That being said I have no idea whats past that room with the little house, that one was just too sad and frustrating
Yeah it has to be intentional, I don't think you can clear the very last room of chapter 1 dashless without using it. Not enough endurance. But it's very hard to pull off, and so unintuitive at first in terms of inputs that it's not something you could use unless you are actively trying to. I had to look up this video first to get the hang of it.
I like that until the very end, the game keeps giving you new toys to master. I can imagine an extra "advanced climbing dojo" level where you would have to climb a vertical surface by combining neutral wall-jumps and dash wall-jumps, how epic would that be!
Only 6C golden strawberry left to grab for me and then the long wait for the level editor begins, I'm gonna miss this game. Funny how we get used to the struggle!
Currently completed first 3 C sides, and they were quite easier than I expected (first two rooms of 2-C are a joke), and 3rd screen of 3-C was unexpectedly fun, given it being a timing galore. Really scared about 4-C and further, because 4th chapter is being the point where the game really starts, at any version of levels.
If you found 1-3C easy you'll be ok with the rest as well. It gets harder from here and is quite a wild ride but you'll be able to do it :)
Matt, what the hell were you ON when you made this?!
I don't doubt that 7-C is probably the only harder part - but I don't even want to imagine what that's like right now. But it's SOOOO PAINFUL!! I've almost got it, still no assist mode; but these two stages (I've cleared 6-C already) *really* tempt me to use assist mode, and I really don't wanna! :(
Last room of 8C was extremely intimidating but ultimately not as hard. It was more of a gauntlet of puzzles than a gauntlet of precise moves, so once you got past a part twice you could pass it 90% of the time and focus on the next part.
Personally I feel like the first room of 7C, or something like it, should have been the VERY FIRST thing they gave you when they introduced that mechanic. Why introduce it immediately AFTER the segment where the timing would have been more forgiving? I only completed the other C levels as easily as I did because I skipped ahead to 7C and practiced the dash-walljump for a while.
All in all the C sides were very well designed challenges, as with almost everything in the game.
