You can try counting as soon as you get into the ball, that should be abit more consistent as well as the frame rate is consistent, it'll be a matter of working out the time.
counting isn't really an option cause you really need to be at the right pixel, you could be 0,2 second too late
Counting should be possible but does need precision. Since the game should be locked to 60fps the timing is 1/60 which is about a 0.0166666666666667 second window to do a frame perfect dash.
For the next super-dash-jump I actually did the opposite. The block is higher up, so if you leave a little bit too late but also hold left you wind up in the right spot to get the big jump.
Overall this was maybe the hardest C-side for me. Even after you get those two jumps there's some nasty stuff. Glhf!
